I was fascinated by Napoli upon my first visit, and I really fell in love after my second! Casa Foria contributed to this by its central location (you can easily walk around the city). The welcome is friendly; moreover, you receive many explanations! The breakfast is nice, with many homemade cakes. You've got a great garden to relax in, and many great restaurants minutes away on foot.
The photos posted were misleading and gave us the wrong impression about the facilities. We made the reservation believing that we could use the kitchen shown in the photos and that our children could freely play in the garden. However, the kitchen in the photos is not accessible to guests, and the garden is a shared common area for the entire apartment complex. In addition, the heater in our room did not work, so we had to sleep in the cold for three days, which caused us to catch a cold. The breakfast itself was acceptable, but the staff member who served breakfast gave us a cold and unfriendly impression, and was especially strict with the children, which felt unwelcoming. Please note that this accommodation is not convenient for cooking, and we recommend keeping this in mind before making a reservation. Additionally, Naples is risky in terms of pickpocketing. One person in our group had their phone stolen. Asian travelers should be especially cautious when visiting this area.
Just returned from a weekend in Naples. I stayed at this B&B for 3 nights. The entrance is creepy, but the staff is quite helpful and always ready to offer the best advice on what to do and how to get around. The room (junior suite) is freezing, the bathroom unheated and windowless, and the room overlooks Via Foria, which is extremely noisy even at night. Cockroaches in the room and stained linens, with a balcony connecting to the adjacent room. Breakfast was only sweet (aside from 2 slices of salami and cheese), and on the last day, it was almost non-existent. Arriving a few minutes after 7 PM, it cost us an extra €20, not at night... the excuse was that at that time he could have easily been a street performer in Vomero, which would have certainly earned more money. In short, not exactly respectful to the guest. No receipt for the tourist tax, who knows who collected it... against all the rules, payments are cash only, but that's a Naples prerogative. In short, another Italy, in Italy!
The apartment is conveniently located for parking in one of the several car parks and exploring Naples by public transport. The real problem is the stairs, which are in terrible condition and steep enough to reach the top floor. This shouldn't be underestimated after a day of walking or with small children in tow. The photos don't quite match the reality; we had a small room with mold in the corners of the windows and no curtains. We only had one large towel per person for two days. There was also a nauseating sewer smell in the room. The owner, however, is helpful and prompt in responding. I recommend keeping a closer eye on the cleaning staff.
