Kicking me out

I’ve been to firewater quite a few times since moving to Dundee for uni. It’s a decent place to go for a club night with pals but it’s entirely inconsistent with the rules of what will get you thrown out no matter how drunk you are. One of my first times there a friend of mine was by no means sober but not so drunk she was a danger to herself or others, however, a bouncer decided to separate her from a friend who she was with and gave no explanation. We came in a group of five with two of us being entirely unaware of the situation. He walked three of our friends outside, still not explaining why, and wouldn’t let the most sober of our group to collect me and our final group member despite there being no signal to phone or message. Another time happened when I was very drunk and very sick and my two friends were outside without a clue where I was and they asked a bouncer if anyone was still in the bathroom or smoking area. Without checking they said there wasn’t. A total lie, since I was in the bathroom, unwell. I was able to get outside to my friends but utterly irresponsible of the bouncers not to check before being asked where I was several times. And again, tonight (13th May, 1AMish) where I’d been escorted out and almost separated from my group for seemingly no reason to me. By no means was I sober but was well in control of myself to be able to walk myself out and signal to my friends I was being demanded to leave. There were folk in worse states than me and I, who was having fun with my pals, being in no way disruptive, was being pointed at to leave by this bouncer. No explanation. It’s also usually the same couple bouncers. Firewater is extremely selective about who their rules apply to, and seem to get a kick of being in control which is concerning as they seem to be men mostly using their power as bouncers over women as I’ve yet to see a man or masculine presenting person treated the same way nearly as much.

Why isn't a Young Scot Card not a valid form of identification. Dob is onit. Not everyone has passport or driving license. A wasted trip for 2 that were looking forward to the show tonight. Not impressed

power tripping and extremely rude bouncers (specifically the one with the glasses however a few others have acted poorly too) who get a kick out of ruining peoples night. it’s repetitive doesn’t matter what level of drunk i am he is always there to ruin the night. it’s a club god forbid people drink in it. last night i went to go to the bathroom, he snatched me away for having “1 too many” even when i wasn’t acting like a liability and was actually relatively sober. i feel like i could go stone cold sober and he’d still kick me out “for being drunk”. i had a dead phone so wasn’t able to get in touch with my friends and wasn’t able to get my jacket. not only has he ruined my night but also endangered me as i had to walk home by myself with no bank card, phone, friends or jacket.
