Firewater

This club is a joke. They didn’t let one of my male friends in with his scot card, birth certificate and work card when he was clearly on a night out with a group of mates all well over 18 but then they let my female friend in later with her scotcard and work clock in card. It’s either you take scot cards or not you need to sort this out it’s ridiculous. Nontheless we then went to aura who were very understanding that the boy was clearly with his mates and was upset about fw and helped us continue our night out and couldn’t have been nicer to us all and let us all in and we had a great night in a better establishment. Sort your door staff out it’s discrimination.

Firewater is the best club to go to. Always great music and the staff are lovely. I had a bad experience while I was there and started seizing at the end of the club night, one of the bouncers -Stirling - acted fast and managed to help me out a lot. He was lovely and he is great at his job. He also saved my life by giving me chest compressions at a point I stopped breathing. Overall it wasn’t a great experience but thanks to Stirling I’m still alive and breathing. He was also very compassionate, kind and level headed the whole time even though it was a scary situation. I also got a phone call the next day just making sure I was okay even though it was his day off and wasn’t obligated to do so. I definitely recommend going to firewater, the bouncers are amazing at looking out for people and going above and beyond what is expected from them, the music is great and it’s always a good time!

Slipped and fell down the stairs and seriously hurt my back and arm, the stairs are not safe at all, went down to go to the toilet and seriously hurt myself by slipping and falling straight down onto my tailbone which injured my back and arm seriously. Absolutely no protection on the stairs except for hand railings but no grip on the actual stairs. Bruised arm and bruised spine due to this incident. Heard multiple people complaining in the bathrooms about how unsafe the stairs are and how they also fell down them aswell. My friends also got denied entry due to full house when it was completely empty with spare seats for them coming in. That is my first and last time I'm ever stepping into firewater, I've never had an issue with falling down the stairs in ANY club I've been to in Dundee except for this one. Please be careful if you consider going here.

I live down the street and round the corner and the music keeps me awake. Far too loud. Socially irresponsible. I have raised the matter with local councillor and police.

I’m yet to have a night which isn’t absolutely ruined by the bouncers here which is a shame considering there’s a major lack of clubs in dundee. They’re power tripping and completely inconsistent with their rules and who to apply them to. The key component of their job is to look out for people’s safety not power trip and unnecessarily kick people out/decline entry yet let things slide with others who are in a much worse state. For example, a few months ago I was declined entry for having “one too many” whilst I was just stood in the queue quietly minding my own business but someone in front of me was allowed in who was in a state. Then i leave and see this same person with another worker outside who was tending to him and then proceeds to ask the most sober person there (myself) to call an ambulance. I don’t understand how this boy was allowed in and not myself but then another worker declared me the most sober and asked me to call and speak to the emergency services. I hadn’t been in a while since this incident but I’m very disappointed to see the same inconsistencies with rules and who they’re applied to and power tripping manners still exist. Acting this way is rude and just abusing power it’s not maintaining anyone’s safety it’s just ruining someone’s night. Do better.

Got kicked out for dancing on a dance floor

We went out to Firewater Dundee for Halloween on both Friday and Saturday, and Stirling absolutely made our nights. We had bought tickets but ended up standing in the wrong queue on Friday as had never been before, but were pointed in the right direction by Stirling. He was the perfect balance of professional and genuinely fun — handled the crowds smoothly, kept everything in order, and still managed to have a great sense of humour although his jokes were questionable. It’s rare to meet someone who can do their job so well while also creating such a welcoming humorous vibe. Big shoutout to him for being an absolute legend all weekend! Would definitely come back just for the energy he brought. 🎃✨

Had a good night at firewater, crowd is a lot of fun drinks are priced well during the week. Really like the music, atmosphere and the staff was awesome. Door guy Sterling was great gave me advice on best time to come back when it was going to be busy (and it really was!), let me back in no issue. felt great about the place will be back! Keep it up guys!
