Moseley Folk and Arts Festival is a lovely location in woodland by a lake. The organizers have clearly put in a huge amount of time and effort, into providing an all round smorgasbord of live music and entertainment for all age groups. The headliners, Wilco were absolutely superb, and the sound was as good as you could possibly ask for. My only gripe is that the two main stages are set up to enable live acts to play all day without giving the audience a break to chill and embrace the ambience. The main stages drown out and overwhelm the outer small performance areas, giving audiences little chance of being able to enjoy the fringe acts. It is so painfully obvious that this is a big problem, that I am very surprised that nothing has been done to remedy this problem. Less is more guys, and you don't need artists performing back to back on the main stages all day. 45 Minute intervals would allow artists performing on Speakers Corner and Folk on the slope to be heard and enjoyed. Wilco were awesome, and Billy Brag was pretty damn good to. Thanks for organizing a great event.
We came to Moseley Park and Pool as part of Birmingham Heritage Week 2020. Not normally open to the public, it is a lovely place with huge grassy areas, trees and a large pond with abundant wildlife - many different bird species, and large fish could be clearly seen in the pool.
We have been members here for years, and regular 'Moseley folk festival' visitors. Today I went to see what (if anything) has changed..! The wet & damp couldn't deter my visit and I first spotted the new & better toilets which have been added..Very vital in a large park as this..! A new building for 'YOGA' followers has been added..! Strange sight for me, but maybe popular for some folk.. The giant Rabbit addition made my visit & I recommend a visit or membership pass for all..!
We visited Moseley Park and Pool for a walk on a Sunday afternoon, it was great to spend half an hour or so, beware it can get muddy.
As a local resident to have something like this on your doorsteps is truly special. It's therefore a shame to see it (at times) spoiled by members of the public who haven't paid to become a member. Recently this has become an issue when I've visited and the previous sense of tranquillity, while still there, has subsided. Please review your safety procedures to ensure not just anyone can come in. A few times now people have been lurking at the gate waiting for someone to let them in/out with a fob. It just starts your visit off on the wrong foot and feels wrong that I'm paying a £45 a year fee whereas others aren't but are using the park, often for anti social behaviour. Would recommend sorting this before people stop renewing their yearly £45 subscription.
This is the second year I've attended the festival and I've really enjoyed it. A beautiful setting and some fantastic people playing there. It's only very small but that's part of the charm. Can't wait to see who's playing next year.
Amazed and delighted to see this genius perform at local park in July this year, he is incredible and such a huge talent, at 91, his warmth and charm made it such a special evening. Well done to Mostly jazz organisers for booking this fantastic musician with her eat singers and band also, doubt you will be able to better this for future events.
I've always enjoyed visiting this park; admittedly at first because we lived in a flat in Moseley, without a garden, and this was the next best thing. Even though we've recently moved to a house with a lovely garden, I can't ever see a time when I don't visit here. It's not overly done and pristine, but not wild either, and just chilling on one of the many benches watching the wildlife, is a good use of anyone's time in my book.
This is a private park which is accessed using a fob which residents and I guess people living close by have. It is right in the centre of Moseley behind the shops but once you get in there you could be miles away in the countryside. It isn't very big but really is nice.
I finally got round to buying a key to the park! I came here with a VIP for a VIP meeting. Despite there not being a single peek of blue sky the day was bliss. The afternoon began with a quiet picnic on the hill overlooking the lake. We then spent approx 5 hours bench hopping, enjoying each angle of the lake and discussing important business. ***PICTURES CONTAIN SPOILERS***

One of my friends told me about this park as I have recently moved to the area and I went today and it was so peaceful. I went for a couple of laps round the park and took my book to just sit and read, it was so peaceful.
Lovely hidden gem
An amazing place to chill and think if you can find it and get in 🤫
