Birmingham Pride, Mayıs 1997'de Hurst Street çevresindeki Gay Village'da başladı ve ilk etkinliğe katılan Lawrence Barton, 2009'dan beri etkinliği yönetiyor. Mayıs ayının sonundaki resmi tatil hafta sonuna denk geliyor. Geçit töreni ücretsizdir: organizatörler 75.000'den fazla kişinin izlediğini söylüyor. Köydeki hafta sonu festivali ise biletli. 2026'da New Street'teki yol yenileme çalışmaları nedeniyle geçit töreni öğlen Victoria Square'den yeni bir güzergahta hareket etti ve köyde sona erdi. Organizatörler Smithfield'ı bir mekan olarak istemişlerdi ancak kendilerine 27.000 sterlinlik bir fiyat teklifi sunuldu, bu yüzden festival Hurst Street'te kaldı.
Biletler güncel mesele. 23-24 Mayıs 2026 hafta sonu biletleri 46,87 sterlin, 2025'te 73,70 sterlin iken Katy B, Sigala ve Nadine Coyle'ın başrolde olduğu etkinlik için bu fiyat düşürüldü. Nisan ayında Barton, 2027'deki 30. yıl dönümünün ücretsiz olmasını istediğini söyledi. Ağustos ayında ise günlük 29,51 sterlinden başlayan ücretli biletler satışa çıktı ve bu durum şikayetlere yol açtı. Organizatörler ücretsiz girişi bir hedef olarak nitelendirdi ve ücretsiz bir Cuma günü topluluk etkinliği ile düşük gelirli kişilere yarı fiyatına biletler olduğunu belirtti. Organizatörler 28-30 Mayıs 2027 tarihlerini duyurdu.
