Georgian Townhouse (Hotel)

The hotel was lovely, the rooms were great and loved the shortbread gift! But the sound of the doors slamming was unbearable. I wouldn't recommend if you have sleep troubles

Had lunch and the food was great, beautiful place, Chris was very helpful with our enquiries, will definitely be back.

Lovely hotel, great location and lovely staff

Rooms are amazing all round. We had a sharing T-bone steak which was perfect, so was all of the other food we ordered. All of the staff were great Adrien, Callum, Kris, Basset. Wine list was very good too. Great beer garden for the children to make friends and play on the slide. Couldn't reccomend more highly.

Perfect place to stay! Our event was a two day wedding party. Stylish, well equipped rooms. Staff were delightful and extremely helpful. The gardens were a lovely quiet space to sit the morning after with a coffee to contemplate life! Would highly recommend and would definitely book again.

Booked B&B in a Cosy Room for £129 which was excellent value. Hotel is a 10 min walk to the Theatre Royal and a few more mins to The Forum/city centre and has a free car park. Our Cosy Room was bigger than expected and perfectly comfortable. I suspect that this is a well used room as it was showing signs of wear and tear. Had all facilities you could need and perfect for a 1/2 night stay. It was a bit noisy as there was a wedding reception going on, music stopped at 11 o'clock so no big deal. Breakfast, with excellent coffee, was one of the best hotel breakfasts we have ever had in a really nice eating area with plenty of additional outside seating. Happily use this hotel again, recommended. Second visit, just as good, we were upgraded to a Comfy Room which was nice and very comfortable albeit showing some wear and tear. Ate in the bar this time which was very good, breakfast again, was very excelent. Have booked again for 6 months time. Back again for a third time (and have booked again) bigger room this time, all good.

Slowest service £27.50 for a coke, rum n coke and vodka lemonade should not take 10 minutes to make 😂

This was one of the most friendly hotels we have visited in a while. The room was very clean, a lovely large bathroom and comfortable beds. We had a very well stocked mini bar, lots of choices and a good and clear explanation on what was free and the exact cost of any extras. Lovely decoration, great little terrace and a good pub and restaurant downstairs. Within walking distance to the centre of Norwich.

I stayed here for one night as I needed accommodation the night before a conference. I had booked a room at TGT because it had been so highly rated. My check in was smooth, and I was given my room key and went up to the room. I was surprised that there was no deadbolt or chain on the door, so anyone with a keycard could get in (a red flag). I looked around the room which was styled nicely, although the carpet and curtain looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in awhile. I’d had a long journey and was removing the decorative cushions on the bed to get comfy for the night when I noticed not one, but two tiny bugs crawling on top of the duvet. I was really shocked and gathered my things and immediately returned to reception to ask for a new room. The staff were very apologetic and eager to help, and showed me a to a new room, and came with me to check the bed. There were no bugs (thankfully), but the top of the duvet had brown/black dirt on it. I brushed it off and the staff member left. It didn’t feel like they could be bothered to find me a different room (again) that was actually clean. I then checked the bed more thoroughly and saw that beneath the blanket at the foot of the bed, there was even more dirt! I genuinely don’t know how a supposedly freshly-made bed would have so much dirt on it, unless the clean sheets had been stepped on with shoes that had been out in the mud. This room also did not have a deadbolt on the door, and had a strong mildew / mould smell. I ended up hardly sleeping a wink because I just didn’t feel comfortable here. In the morning I at least made the most of the included breakfast, which was a decent continental breakfast spread, and the eggs were nice. Overall, the cleanliness needs to be significantly improved before any more bookings come through.
