G.I. Sauna

One of the biggest problems with this sauna is the deliberate removal of access to drinking water in all the bathrooms, forcing customers to buy $3 bottled water. In an environment where people sweat profusely and are exposed to intense heat, cutting off access to cold water is completely irresponsible. The risks of dehydration, dizziness, and heat exhaustion are real. Despite this, the manager seems to have prioritized making a few extra dollars on bottled water over ensuring basic customer safety. With ambulances regularly seen passing by, I would be very surprised if no heat-related illness or dehydration has already occurred. This is a broken bond of trust. Removing the water fountains to boost sales perfectly illustrates the type of management in place: short-sighted, driven by profit before people's health. A competent manager would understand that free access to drinking water in a sauna is not a luxury, but a basic safety measure. The day a customer suffers a serious health problem as a result of this decision, it will be difficult for management to claim they didn't see the issue.

The staff at this sauna are, frankly, profiteers, even swindlers. They take advantage of the customers' kindness and good sense, judging them simply by their appearance. Every time I come, they charge me $25.50 for a locker. And when I return the pager, even if I hand it back immediately, in less than two seconds they demand another $9—a complete rip-off. The person who asked me for the $9 even made discreet gestures to their colleagues when I returned to return the towel and the key attached to the lock, and they started whispering amongst themselves while looking at me. I pretended not to see or understand. They think I'm naive, even stupid, when I'm perfectly aware of what they're doing. If I don't say anything, it's simply by choice, not out of ignorance or fear. They also take advantage of the fact that when I disagree with their practices, I sometimes refuse to take my money back because I simply want to go in. They take this as a sign of weakness and act as if they're indispensable just because this sauna is more popular than the others in the gay village. Frankly, you're pathetic. Taking advantage of people will never make you rich like you imagine. You think I'm an idiot, but if I keep coming, it's because I choose to, not because I don't understand what's going on or because I'm afraid to talk to you. I'm ashamed for you.

Lovely place several different levels and definitely leads heavier on the cruising aspect than other Bath houses I have attended. Respectful and polite staff! Very accommodating towards the language barrier as I personally don’t speak French and only speak English and was not rude about that language barrier in the slightest, which was a nice change from oasis. Good diverse variety of people everyone respected each other’s boundaries From my personal experience. Also had a good variety in different locations and set ups to engage in. If I had one critique, I would say that the $28 fee for just a locker and a towel was a bit shocking. However I would say that it was worth it just based on the sheer mass of Location. If I remember correctly, there is four floors in the basement? Along with a terrace on the top floor. (Which I did not use because I attended during The winter) if I had one critique is, I wish there was more sauna areas and possibly a better Pool/hot tub set up but overall a great place! If you’re thinking of going to a bathhouse in Montreal, this would be the top pick!
