Treetop Hideaways at Ruby Falls

It was beautiful except for the flooding and driving through the construction site got my car very muddy. I also thought it would be bigger inside and for the price atleast have a real kitchen. I would love to go back if they had military discount. Also, there may be a little bug waiting for u ur first night in the bed, after we cleared that out, bugs weren’t an issue.

The day before check in, we receive an email that mentions that construction was being done but it would not impact our stay. No warning before booking and paying. Woke up to jackhammers the next morning. The code did not work upon arrival. It took 30 minutes on the phone with customer service to get into the lock box with the physical keys. The record player was broken, the spotlight didn't work, and the shower has a four handle setup with no instructions. It took 20 minutes to figure out how to get hot water in the shower. Then the hot water only lasted 5 minutes. So much for enjoying the morning view over breakfast when I couldn't hear myself think over the jackhammers. When we tried to leave, we were blocked in for 10 minutes behind a backhoe. When we called customer service to ask for reasonable, partial refund we were told no.

Perfect out of the ordinary adventure to relax!! We stayed at the Redbud for 2 nights in March with our preteen daughter. The experience is totally worth it - the waterfall shower was delightful and the special touch of having a heat fan made the bathroom feel like a spa. We had morning coffee on the outdoor porch and by the fire pit. We loved the red flyer wagons for hauling in our items and one of our highlights was having firewood stocked for the weekend!! Definitely a place to unwind and enjoy. Even my bug-phobic daughter said it was the best vacation ever despite seeing a few stink bugs (I mean we’re in the woods!).

While this is a cute place. The accommodations were not what we were expecting. Also the water in the shower did not stay hot but about 5 minutes. It said it was equipped with all the modern amenities which I know can be a broad range of things but I think it was falsely advertised. Too much money for what it was.

We stayed at the "Redbud" treehouse for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The place is quiet, quaint and lovely. Their service team responded quickly to our questions and the tub outside was so great in the middle of January.

We enjoyed our Anniversary weekend with Treetop Hideaways. It was the perfect getaway! It was quaint, quiet, and seemed like we were far away from civilization when in fact there were some amazing restaurants a short drive away. We will absolutely be back.

We booked this treehouse last year for a birthday event with some friends. I wasn't going to leave a review because I think they did what they could to remedy the situation then, but they offered us a night's stay after all of this and did not return my calls when I requested to use it. It was a little disappointing to be honest after reading the website description and then experiencing the property in person. Words like "comfortable bedding" and "luxurious" are used to describe the accommodations for the Dogwood Treehouse on the website. It was surprising then to find all the upstairs sheets in a wad in a box, a comforter wadded up in a box, one pillow for our 3 guests that were sleeping there, and several pee stains on the mattress pad when we pulled out the hide a bed. Originally, we were told they weren't sure if they could replace the sheets or not but they were going to try. We said we would need to cancel our reservation if the bedding wasn't clean. We were then told we would need to pay a cancellation fee in that case. We don't think that was a fair comment, so we're glad it didn't happen. We did appreciate that the team tried to make things more comfortable for us. However, even after they came in to change out the bedding, there were two more stained blankets that remained on the single bed upstairs. They did also replace those. We were also told to find bedding in the laundry room or to put towels in and start a load of laundry but we never could locate a laundry room at all. A few simple things that would make sense for the guests: --Clean sheets --No stains on bedding --Enough pillows for the number of guests staying --More than 5 disposable coffee cups (we needed 10) --Stir sticks for coffee --A working kettle (we had to jimmy rig the on button to hold down for it to boil and it leaks when it boils) --A needle for the record player (listed on website as a feature) --Some sort of instructions for the shower handle system --Conditioner for the bathroom, where there is none in the missing slot --A folder with some basic information about the property, local eateries, entertainment, and check out instructions. (I had two separate emails that had different information on each of them regarding check out.) We are well traveled guests, and in the end the accommodations didn't meet our expectations for the price that we paid. We did really appreciate them covering some of our dinner the evening we arrived, and the discount on the cleaning fee. We do think this is a very charming, nicely decorated property with a lot of potential. Great location, close to downtown Chattanooga restaurants and shopping.

Lovely little place for nature lovers!

We came up for my birthday weekend and stayed at Dogwood with our two children, ages 9 and 4. It was honestly magical! It’s rustic with so many thoughtful charming details. I’m obsessed and will 100% be back. We had a bright moon at night, a beautiful sunrise in the morning. We used the fire pit both nights and it was equipped with everything you need. There were lights for the fire pit area but could use some extra lighting for walking down the short path at night. The parking lot below was a little noisy but it still felt private. We hiked and went out for dinners at night which were all within 15 minutes of the treehouse. The small kitchen has a drink fridge and a microwave and sink. A bottle of wine and snacks were provided and a very thoughtful touch. There’s no TV which I prefer for disconnecting. Five stars! For families: if you have toddlers, I wouldn’t recommend this cabin. The ladder to the upstairs loft is very steep and there are windows in the loft next to the beds that would make me nervous if my kids were under the age of 4 (or any age if you have rambunctious kids). It wasn’t a problem for us specifically after going over safety with my wild 4 year old, we just had to remind her about going up and down the ladder steps carefully.
