This is the cutest boutique hotel! What a find for a business trip and I would absolutely come back for a personal one. Its location is perfect and is walkable to an ABC corner store, market, the canal amd so many restaurants! The staff are friendly, kind, patient and valet service is a plus! This is a find!! The Coconut Waikiki is a charming, human-scale hotel, peaceful and ideally located just a few minutes’ walk from the beach. The property is very clean and has a slightly vintage feel, but this is balanced by comfortable, high-quality bedding and spacious rooms. We specifically requested a quiet room, and this was perfectly accommodated. The staff consistently met our expectations and went above and beyond—when we asked to arrive one day earlier than planned, our request was handled quickly and efficiently, while maintaining the original room rate. We particularly appreciated the complimentary coffee and popcorn, which added a welcoming touch. The reception staff and valet were outstanding—always friendly, smiling, and readily available to assist. Overall, a very pleasant stay that we would happily recommend.

This hotel is perfect for its location, room comfortability and cleanliness and an added bonus was that they also provide beach chairs and umbrellas along with towels for your day trips to the beach,but the outstanding customer service is really what gives you that relaxing vacation expierience and the reason every time I visit honolulu I stay at coconut waikiki

I had a great experience staying at this hotel. The staff at the front desk were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and respectful, especially the ladies working during the weekday mornings. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with useful amenities such as a refrigerator and a safe. One of the highlights of our stay was the beautiful view overlooking the Ala Wai Canal. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for the price. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay. This is the second time we have stayed here. Both times, the staff have been amazing; very friendly and accommodating, especially the valet staff who were always so prompt in getting our car for us during our visit. The hotel has 24/7 coffee & tea as well as a free popcorn station from 3-5 every day which is a nice touch. They also had a small gym (only open until 10pm) which was surprisingly well-equipped for a property this small. Beach chairs, umbrellas and towels are available to borrow if you need them and they do update these offerings; the chairs this time were pretty much brand new versus last time we stayed. Parking is valet only and costs $40/day which is honestly pretty fair for a city, and I thought it was worth the convenience of not having to worry about finding street parking. Plus as mentioned, the valet staff were awesome and always very prompt. The room itself is certainly on the older side, and there is some dirt in the nooks and crannies of the walls if you look hard enough. Linens and towels are definitely older but the ones we received were always clean. Water pressure in the bathroom was great. Noise did creep in from the hallways & street pretty easily so if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. Probably my favorite aspect of this hotel is the location. Right along the Ala Wai Canal, it's far enough from Kalākaua (the main street) to be away from the crowds but you can still be at Waikīkī beach after a 10 minute walk. Extremely walkable location with tons of shopping & dining options available to you. There are also a bunch of bus lines that have stops on Kūhiō that are useful if you don't have a car. If you do have a car, you'll be able to easily use Ala Wai Blvd to get to the freeway entrances with no issue (aside from some traffic in busy times). While I do wish the rooms would undergo a bit of a deep clean, we have really enjoyed the Coconut Waikiki each time we have visited and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfy, more homey-feeling value Waikiki hotel. This is a small property, not a huge sprawling resort and we personally prefer it that way. We will definitely be back again and again.
