Wonderful and convenient location. The staff are wonderful and very helpful and accommodating. The room however was lacking. The room was serviced during the day, I could tell the sheets were not changed as I could find hair from the previous night still within the sheets. Also the plates were used as they were provided with the room and they were not removed nor cleaned.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel to guests who expect high levels of hygiene. This hotel is located a little way off Kalakaua Avenue. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a 24-hour water dispenser in the lobby on the first floor. The problem lies with the guest rooms. Firstly, I expected it to be quiet since it's located one street behind the main road, but outside noise was barely blocked out and it was extremely noisy. Furthermore, the walls seemed thin, as I could clearly hear knocking from the next room (presumably by multiple guests who had forgotten their card while out). The noise was so loud it sounded like someone was knocking on my own door. Also, I heard a gurgling sound in the middle of the night. Thinking it was related to the drainage, I woke up the next morning to find a large number of insects and leaves scattered in the bathroom. This wasn't there at check-in; it must have happened during the night. Based on these experiences, although the price is very reasonable, it wasn't a good stay, and I wouldn't recommend it. However, I think it might be a good place for travelers who can accept the "you get what you pay for" mentality.
The room was just what we needed. The price was good. The coffee was not. The fire alarm while annoying was understandable.
Location to the beach. The bathroom. Only good things. $100 secret security deposit. Do not use their different rooms discount! It's a scam to double charge the deposit! No self parking! $45 Per day valet parking only.
Highly recommend this hotel. Clean and excellent customer service for the price. Front desk, valet, maids everyone had so much aloha and good spirits!! Highly highly recommend 🤙🏽🤙🏽
Make sure you ask for a quite room off the main roads. Comfortable and roomy but the rooms are not as updated as others.
