My partner and I recently hosted a small private commitment ceremony at Greens, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. This was an especially meaningful occasion for us: not only were we celebrating our commitment to one another, but it was also the first time our families were meeting. We spent considerable time visiting venues across the Bay Area before ultimately choosing Greens, and looking back, it was one of the best decisions we could have made. The private dining room struck a rare balance: spacious enough to comfortably host our gathering, yet intimate and cozy enough to feel personal and warm. The setting is simply stunning. Being right on the water was important to us, as we both wanted to feel connected to nature on such a significant day. The views were breathtaking, and even when the fog rolled in and obscured the Golden Gate Bridge, the waterfront location still created a beautiful, serene atmosphere. In fact, it's a testament to the venue that the setting remained magical despite the weather. What truly set Greens apart from other venues we considered was how genuinely accommodating and flexible they were. Many places seemed intent on fitting us into a predetermined package, but Greens consistently centered our needs and preferences. Throughout the planning process, they were receptive, responsive, and open to modifications, whether related to the menu, beverages, music, room setup, or other details. Every request was met with understanding and a sincere desire to help us create the celebration we envisioned. Then there was the food. As a vegetarian restaurant, we admittedly had some concerns because many members of our families are dedicated meat-eaters. We wondered whether everyone would enjoy the meal or leave feeling unsatisfied. We could not have been more wrong. The food was spectacular. Every single guest not only enjoyed their meal but absolutely relished it. Long after the event ended, family members continued to rave about the dishes and how memorable the meal had been. The highlight of the evening, however, was our hostess, Cara. She was simply extraordinary. From the moment guests arrived until the final goodbyes, she attended to everyone with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. She coordinated seamlessly with us, made sure every guest felt comfortable and looked after, and ensured that the evening unfolded effortlessly. Given the emotional significance of the occasion, her calm presence and attention to detail were invaluable. Quite honestly, the event would not have been the same without her. By the end of the evening, our families were overjoyed. They found Greens to be elegant without being stuffy, sophisticated yet deeply welcoming. Everyone left feeling moved, happy, and grateful to have shared such a special experience together. And while the experience itself was priceless, I should also mention that, by Bay Area standards, the pricing was remarkably reasonable for a private event of this quality, in such a beautiful space, with such exceptional service. I rarely write reviews this long, but Greens deserves every word. They helped create one of the most important days of our lives, and they did so with grace, flexibility, warmth, and excellence. If you are considering Greens for a private event with incredible views, outstanding food, and a team that genuinely cares about making your celebration special, you need not look any further.

We had a delicious dinner here. Unfortunately they do not take reservations so we ended up waiting one hour. Food was good, service was terrible.

Me and my friends went here for my birthday and the lady with dyed orangey brown hair kept giving us nasty looks. All of us felt extremely judged and uncomfortable. We felt like we were treated as animals in a zoo. Every time that lady walked past us, as well as other waiters and waitresses, they gave us a weird look when we weren't even doing anything wrong. Extremely unprofessional behavior coming from a place that seems to be so posh.

hostess with the botched bleach hair kept judging out table, and made racially insensitive comments towards my party. Acted like we were the seals by the pier. Do not come if you are not white, not rich or young.

This place truly exceeded my expectations. I went for my birthday with 12 friends for the first time, and not only did they have special menu that said happy birthday, they also brought us FREE sorbet and champagne. I was floored. The staff was so nice and wanted to do anything to make it a special experience. Best part of course was everything we ate was SO good, and ALL vegan: from appetizers to entrees, this place delivers.

We had the mushroom wellington entree, fried cauliflower, and black bean chili. Everything was excellent! The food was very tasty, and the service was great. I highly recommend Greens restaurant and would return during future trips to San Francisco.

We loved every bite if our delicious food at Greens! The view was spectacular, and the service was outstanding. Gorgeous redwood tables and a burl that looks like a wave. Highly recommend!

We arrived early for our reservation and stood around waiting for about 15 minutes. It took us another 15 minutes to order food and drinks. The fingerling potatoes were bland. The savory crepe was forgettable. The drinks looked pre-made. The pizza was dry. These are overpriced vegetables. This place is way too expensive for so much to have gone wrong. I'm never going back here again.

Great vegan food and the view is gorgeous! Staff can be a bit more inclusive and friendly. We were pushed to the far end with no views.
