We went for dinner with high expectations due to the reviews and the menu we saw but what we found is a restaurant that is far from being authentically Vegan. Being Vegan is more than putting carrots and cucumbers everywhere. The tempeh with lemon gras that I have not found. It is a restaurant with high prices for what you eat.

Seriously overrated, overpriced, ordinary vegan food For a birthday they seated us in a corner yellow room which had a sewage pipe running in the back Knocked out 2 stars cause they seriously served the worst 3 desserts I’ve ever had at a vegetarian place -

We stopped in for a couple of small bites, specifically the Corn Chowder and the Burrata Tartine. The Tartine was unique, delicious, and a pretty good portion (4 pieces). The chowder was ok - comforting but could use more oomf. Maybe some chili oil. Overall it's a pricey place, and I wasn't too intrigued by the entrees. We were satisfied with trying the smaller shared plates. Service was perfect and the views were lovely.

I usually love Greens and have been going there for a very long time and have had nothing but positive experiences and meals there. But today there were two things that greatly marred the experience. 1) I ordered the pupusa brunch which I've had before. But today the pupusas were not fresh at all and not very warm.Clearly they had been pre-cooked and sitting around for a while. ( we had a 1:15 reservation, a bit late into the brunch) 2) the waiter ,who was otherwise attentive and fine, brought the check without asking if we wanted to see the dessert menu or if we wanted coffee or dessert. They were still seating other customers and others were still eating so it wasn't like they wanted to close or needed the table. On the positive side, the hostess gave us a window table when we requested it, the pizza was really good as were the tamarind housemade sodas.

Today I met some work colleagues for lunch at Greens. I am a local and eat there a few times a year. But today was such a disappointment. The staff was great and the ambiance noisy but ok. Stellar views, etc. But the food....absolutely lackluster. I ordered the chickpea salad sandwich and my friends followed my lead. The food was delivered in a timely manner but looked like something one would order in a cafeteria. A sandwich on stale rye bread, cut in half with a sad pile of wilted lettuce on the side. The chickpea concoction was void of taste. Honestly, no discernible taste. And the avocado on top of the chickpeas was way past its prime. My friends basically moved the food around their plates and barely ate it. So embarrassing. I will not be returning to Greens. Which makes me sad.

Delicious! I'm not a vegetarian, quite the opposite, I love meat, but here I was surprised by all the food. The toast with burrata was delicious, the mushroom Wellington was amazing, the pasta was spectacular! And I loved the chocolate dessert! I recommend it 100%. Oh! And the views… speechless, gorgeous.
