1, Place Vendome - Maison Chopard

1, Place Vendôme is the jeweller Chopard's hotel, set in an 18th-century mansion (1723) on the corner of Paris's main jewellery square, above the Chopard boutique. It has just fifteen rooms and suites, each named after a gemstone, plus a winter garden under a glass roof. It's a mainstream luxury hotel that is listed as gay-friendly, not a gay hotel. Prices sit at the top of the Paris market, and with so few rooms it books up early. The Marais, home to most of the city's gay bars, is about 20 minutes away by taxi or Métro.
