Gay Saunas in Warsaw: The Honest 2026 Guide

Last verified: October 2026 · Compiled from venue checks and local and international sources from 2025–2026 · Report a change

Warsaw's gay saunas are clustered in the western part of the city centre. You'll find The Fire, Heaven, and Galla within a 20-minute walk of each other. The Fire is the newest and largest, with over 380 m² of space. Heaven is smaller, but open late. Galla has been around since 1995, making it the oldest gay sauna in Warsaw.

Sex between men has been legal in Poland since 1932, with an equal age of consent of 15. However, same-sex couples have no legal recognition. In 2026, Parliament passed a law creating a registered "closest person" status, but it was vetoed by President Karol Nawrocki on 17 July 2026. Saunas operate as private venues for adults, but sex or nudity in public is not allowed.

The three saunas

All three saunas are located on the western edge of Śródmieście and neighbouring Wola, between Rondo ONZ, the Central Station, and Hala Mirowska. You can easily visit two in one night.

Sauna The Fire · ul. Twarda 44, near Rondo ONZ

The Fire has a large dry sauna, a wet sauna with a rain shower, and a steam room. You'll also find a jacuzzi, a labyrinth with darkrooms, a bar, a smoking room, massage, lockers, Wi-Fi, and free condoms and lube. It's open daily from 17:00 to 02:00, and until 08:00 on Friday and Saturday nights.

Prices vary: 50 złoty for two people on Mondays, 30 złoty for under-26s on Wednesdays, and a 30 złoty weekend after-party ticket from 04:00 to 08:00. The standard prices are listed on their website, but it's an image, so check before you go.

Visitors praise the cleanliness, friendly staff, and lively atmosphere. It won five stars in Travel Gay's 2025 audience awards. Phone +48 22 127 36 11.

Heaven Sauna · ul. Waliców 13, Mirów

Heaven is a smaller sauna with a dry sauna, a steam room, private cabins, a darkroom, a TV room, a chill-out area, a bar, and massage. It's open from 14:00, with late nights and 24-hour weekends, according to Travel Gay. However, hours may vary, so call before visiting: +48 22 620 02 55.

Prices are around 60 złoty on weekdays and 70 złoty at weekends, but we couldn't confirm this on their website. You can also buy a twin ticket covering Heaven and the Instytut cruise bar for 70 złoty, excluding special events.

Visitors describe it as cosy and busy at weekends, with English-speaking staff. However, some reviewers mention cramped cabins and pricey drinks.

Klub Sauna Galla · ul. Ptasia 2 (entrance from Przechodnia)

Galla has been running since 1995 and is Warsaw's longest-established gay sauna. It's spread over three floors, with a modern sauna, a steam room, a lounge, and a pitch-black labyrinth. You'll also find a Finnish dry sauna, a bar, two video rooms, a small gym, relaxation cabins, a smoking lounge, and massage.

It's open from 14:00 on weekdays and 12:00 at weekends, closing at 23:00, or 01:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Prices aren't published online, but a reviewer mentioned 50 złoty as reasonable.

Visitors are split: some praise the friendly staff and old-school atmosphere, while others complain of a musty smell, worn equipment, and dim lighting.

Not a sauna, but nearby: Instytut

Instytut, at ul. Prosta 2/14, is Warsaw's main cruise bar, with a cocktail bar, lounge, and darkroom. It's open nightly from 20:00 and until 06:00 on Friday and Saturday nights. No sauna, but a great spot for a late night.

Closed: Fantom, at Bracka 20a, is listed as closed by misterb&b. Two cruise bars, codeRED and Bunkier, are also reported closed.

Keep it indoors. Sex or nudity in public can be fined in Poland, with a penalty of up to 1,500 złoty. City parks are patrolled, and night-time robbery and homophobic harassment are real risks. Stick to the saunas and designated areas.

A Warsaw sauna evening

Start with a drink in the bars and cafés around Plac Zbawiciela. Try a szarlotka, Żubrówka bison-grass vodka topped with apple juice. Then head to the saunas: Galla closes earliest, so go there first for the old-school experience, and save The Fire or Heaven for later. On the way home, grab a zapiekanka, a half-baguette baked with mushrooms and cheese, from a street hatch.

Practical tips

    • Getting there: Rondo ONZ (metro line M2) is a short walk from The Fire and Heaven; Galla is a little further north, by Hala Mirowska. After the metro closes, take a night bus or use a ride-hailing app.
    • Timing: saunas are busiest in the evening and on weekend nights. Mondays at The Fire are for going with a friend; Wednesdays suit under-26s.
    • Doors: many Warsaw venues are in courtyards or behind unmarked doors with an intercom. Look for the number rather than a sign.
    • Valuables: use the lockers. Older reviews mention money going missing; don't leave cash in your clothes.
    • Money: Poland uses the złoty (PLN). Cards and BLIK are widely accepted, but carry some cash as a back-up.
    • Consent: in darkrooms and labyrinths, a hand moved away means no. You can always say no or walk away.
    • Apps: Grindr is the main app in Poland, and Romeo is popular with locals over 30. Many profiles are discreet; respect that. Meet in a public place first, as dating apps are sometimes used to set up robberies.
    • Health: free, anonymous HIV testing is available at consultation and diagnostic points. If a condom breaks, PEP must start within 72 hours: go to an infectious diseases hospital or an emergency department. Lambda Warszawa runs a support line and can point you to services. Never mix GHB with alcohol.

    Pride and events

The Parada Równości (Equality Parade) is Warsaw's Pride march, held in June. In 2026, it took place on Saturday 13 June, starting at 14:00 from beneath the Palace of Culture and Science. The 2027 date hasn't been confirmed, but expect a Saturday in June.
