Bärenhöhle ("bear cave") is a gay bear bar on the first floor of the Yumbo Centre in Playa del Inglés. It draws bears, chasers and older men, and many of them are German and Dutch visitors, which matches the German owners and contact number. It's a drinking bar with music, not a club, and prices are below the Yumbo average. It is open every night from 19:30 to 02:30. It works as a first stop before the dance clubs downstairs get going around midnight. It gets busiest in winter, Gran Canaria's high season, and during the island's Pride and bear weeks.

Friends of ours said: you have to go there sometime… So we (a woman and a man) checked it out. I asked just to be sure they served women too. A funny, silly comment followed, and we got a delicious beer.
