Hotel El Pozo

A very good hotel in the center of La Nogalera. The best part was the service and attention from Carlos, a very professional and friendly receptionist who quickly and effectively resolved all your questions and problems. We need more employees like Carlos! Thank you very much.

What I really liked about the hotel was its excellent location, right in the city centre and within just a few minutes’ walk of everything. The staff were also very kind and welcoming, especially the ladies at the bar, who were absolutely lovely. What I didn’t like was the lack of cleanliness and the owner’s lack of cooperation. The towels are also tiny. While we fully support efforts to reduce waste and avoid changing towels every day, guests returning from the beach cannot reasonably be expected to use the same small towel for three days unless they pay extra for another one. What really annoyed us, however, was the housekeeping. On the first day, the room was cleaned properly. The following day, the cleaning was very poor, consisting of little more than replacing the toilet paper and roughly straightening the bedsheets. The day after that, the room was not cleaned at all. On both days, we had put out the green sign well before 1 pm, indicating that we wanted the room cleaned. When we spoke to the owner, he quite casually explained that the cleaner had called in sick that day. He then handed us some toilet paper and larger towels, which makes us wonder whether larger towels are available after all, depending on when the hotel chooses to provide them. When I asked whether he could arrange for someone to clean the room, his answer was simply no. He showed no willingness to help. Frankly, this is unacceptable. Paying guests should not have to stay in a room that goes uncleaned for two consecutive days. I’m sorry, but that is simply not good enough, especially for a three-star hotel, which should be expected to offer a reasonable standard of housekeeping and customer service.

Very old hotel, no refrigerator, no balcony, no other amenities. I paid 113 € per night hoping that I will get money's worth and was fooled by the Pics and reviews here. Definitely not worth the money spent. Two stars only because staff was friendly and location is ok.

We made a last-minute booking for three nights, and overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is in a fantastic location. If you arrive in Torremolinos by train, it’s basically just one street away from the train station, which makes it very convenient. The neighborhood is lively and busy, with plenty of restaurants, bars, and nightclubs either on the same street or just a few streets away. The beach is also very close—you just need to walk down the stairs or use the elevator to get there. Our room was decent and had everything we needed, including air conditioning, a TV, and a clean bathroom. The staff were super friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. There is also a breakfast option at the hotel, which is reasonably priced and offers a decent selection. I particularly liked that they have an international-style breakfast rather than only local options. The hotel also has a bar, which is a nice extra. Overall, I can definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you’re looking for a convenient location, and friendly staff.
