The Belmont Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay. Staff were all friendly and welcoming. The room was well maintained and the bed comfortable. An excellent breakfast made with good quality ingredients. Don’t be mislead by the price this is a very well run hotel which provides a really good service.

I Booked in for one night due to a mixup in my travel plans, on entering the reception I asked the receptionist Nathan if I could have a single room for one night, he looked at me unsure as I was casually dressed and had a skip cap on and said He wasn’t sure he’d have to check the computer? So I eventually gets a room for £90 including Breakfast. He Kindly offered to look after my luggage and come back at 3p.m to check in. After checking in on first glance the room looked quite nice although slightly Dated. After further inspection I noticed so much more! It was very dusty, hairs all over, the carpet was very dirty, the windows were very dirty and looked out to a wall with air conditioning. However I said it’s only one night just get over it. I got undressed into my pyjamas for a chilled night in front of the TV, I couldn’t get any channels? So read a book instead. Wakes up at 6.15 to go down for Breakfast. I ordered the full English, it came out at 6.40 and I one bite out of the sausage as everything else was way overcooked! Put my cutlery down and left the whole Breakfast. The restaurant wasn’t even busy and it was only open from 6.30 so why was it so inedible? They knew what room I was in as your asked for your room number before being seated , so why didn’t they ask me why I ordered Full English Breakfast and didn’t eat anything? Staff were friendly enough but they weren’t very smartly dressed actually quite untidy to be honest. I didn’t want to complain but they need to know what our experience was.

Really nice old timey feeling hotel, super friendly staff. Only downside is alot of noise during the evening from outside as roudy crowds tend to hang around across the road. Apart from that pleasent stay :)

Great service

All the staff are lovely and very friendly, and the breakfast and tea time are very good.

We stayed one night to celebrate a friend's birthday in Leicester. The price was very good considering it included parking and breakfast. The room was a reasonable size, the bed was very comfortable. The room was maybe a little dated decor wise but the comfort was the most important issue. The shower was great although the bathroom was a touch on the small side. The carpark is a touch on the small side and we got the last space available on arrival. Breakfast was very tasty - a buffet style for the Sunday morning. We both ordered poached eggs and they were bought to the table quite quickly. Overall I would recommend this hotel to others and would definitely consider staying again.
