The honest summary: Sacramento has one gay bathhouse, Sac Buddies, a members-only men's club on Franklin Boulevard in South Sacramento. Older guides and some search results say the city has none and send you to San Francisco. That's out of date.
Sac Buddies
Sac Buddies (4909 Franklin Blvd) opened around 2017 and is for men 18 and over. Photo ID is checked on every visit, and the door policy is drug-free. Listings describe a club of about 3,500 square feet with a steam room, private rooms, lockers, showers, a lounge and an outdoor area. Google lists it open from 11am every day, until 10pm Sunday to Thursday and until 2am on Friday and Saturday.

What isn't a gay sauna

The nearest larger choice of gay saunas is in the San Francisco Bay Area, about two hours away by road.
