Hotel Rosita

We went as a family and booked 10 rooms for just one night, as we were coming from an all-inclusive resort. The reception staff treated us very badly; they kicked us out of the pool, wouldn't let us have drinks in the common areas, and told us to go back to our rooms. That's why we booked the 10 rooms there—to be together, socializing, not stuck in our separate rooms. They didn't seem to understand the rules. We asked for a refund, and they told us the first night was non-refundable and that we only had the first night booked because we were leaving for our destinations the next day. A very bad experience. It's a hotel for elderly people who want to stay in their rooms.

The facilities are good value for money. If your family is noisy (but respectful) like mine, this hotel isn't for you. Here's why: We had some unpleasant experiences. They don't communicate or display any rules in the common areas stating that it's prohibited to consume drinks or food not sold at the hotel. Having speakers, even at a moderate volume, is prohibited in the lobby or common areas. I understand that this is common in hotels; however, the staff told us in a very rude way, as if this hadn't been communicated at check-in or as if there were no rules displayed, which was NOT the case. Another issue was that we stored our belongings in a trunk that didn't have a lock or anything like that, since it was raining. And again, in a VERY rude manner, they told us that we couldn't do that, and I insist, there was no sign saying it was prohibited, and we certainly didn't damage the trunk. I recommend this hotel for people who don't want to listen to music, tell jokes, or laugh loudly, don't want to buy snacks from outside, and don't want to have fun with their families. Because the staff doesn't like it. P.S. The pool rules are posted at the lobby desk. 😞

Every time I've come for work, everything's been fine, but there's a receptionist who was very difficult to deal with last time. I don't usually notice, but you can really feel his attitude when he's around you. I'd rather not come back. They make you feel like they're doing you a favor.

The hotel is really clean. However, if you rent a vehicle there is no parking. You have to park in the street and parking is not easy to find and when you find it people charge you to park in public streets. The rooms are clean and AC worked great. However, the beds are too small and hard. Also, the pillows are flat, so sleep was challenging. The location is great if you travel without a vehicle and don’t mind the small beds and flat pillows. I won’t be staying here again.

Love the breakfast buffet, the staff is friendly and attentive, Guillermo and Jesus in particular are super great. Good location, especially if you like the party zone. The rooms are clean and comfortable with nice ocean view rooms. This area is walkable, you’re in the middle of everything. The bartenders also make great drinks here, the 2x1 happy hour is unbeatable.

Hotel Rosita provided excellent service during a family event. We also stayed there and enjoyed a beautiful sunrise and a delicious breakfast. Many thanks to the owner and especially to Alvaro, the food and beverage manager, who was very attentive and professional. He and his entire team made us feel incredibly pampered.

The hotel is one of the oldest. I booked through Booking.com and it ended up costing me about 1,500 pesos more than what I saw on the website. It's right on the beach, but there are a lot of rocks directly in front. So you have to walk to get to the beach. It's centrally located, everything is close by: places to eat, an Oxxo convenience store, restaurants, etc. The pool is very small for the number of people staying at the hotel. The included breakfast is very limited, and the portions aren't adequate. The hotel is NOT RECOMMENDED FOR PEOPLE LOOKING TO RELAX. It's more for seniors and those who want VERY RESTFUL TIME. Although we were there to relax, we weren't very close to the pool and we had our speaker playing a board game and laughing. They made us turn it down and said it was "just for us." Apparently, you can't bring in drinks from outside the hotel, or speakers, and you can barely even laugh. I really wouldn't go back.

Spacious room, Comfortable bed

Hi! I don't recommend it. It has a good location, but that's about it. When we arrived, it was almost 5:00 PM, and it took more than an hour for them to give us our room. Then they wouldn't let us take the key card out, saying we had to return it when we left??? So I had to go to another hotel. My family stayed there for only three days, but they kept changing rooms. And the staff weren't very friendly. They charged me $16,900 for not even staying there. For two double rooms.
