The Intersection is a queer-run café at 100 Elmwood Avenue, on the edge of Allentown. Owner Heidi Jones has described it to Spectrum News as "so queer that we don't talk about it", and it turns up on local LGBTQ+ lists such as OutXOut. It's a daytime place: coffee, breakfast and lunch, open Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm and weekends 8am to 5pm. It's a good spot to sit with a laptop or meet someone before heading to Allen Street later. Google rates it 4.8 from about 165 reviews.

This is a good spot to relax in the sunshine and have a cigarette or six with decent espresso drinks and friendly folks. The monthly artist showcase is always worth checking out, along with local talent leaving writing / show posters and events for visibility. Very easy to find out what the city is feeling in the space. A+
