Lighthouse Hotel, Key West Historic Inns (Kimpton)

Charming place!

Old terrible rooms, electrical outlets didnt work, no hot water. Pool super small and dirty. The French woman at check in was insulting and cold. No value other than close proximity to Duval st. Im not sure why Hilton would have their name on this place. Basically Motel 6 with ignorant employees

My best friend and I stayed 6 days in July for my birthday. Best hotel I have ever stayed at, hands down. Great location, AMAZING staff, gorgeous hotel, and Finn the dog!! I absolutely loved it. Located across the street from The Hemingway House, it is located centrally in town. The pool is perfect for a dip. It’s the perfect spot for your home away from home. Highly recommend. 5 stars ⭐️

The Lighthouse Hotel - Key West Historic Inn is AHmazing. The entire staff provided superb customer service – a special shout-out to Laura, John, and Nura. They were extremely helpful, highly knowledgeable, and efficient. They made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. I would be remiss not to mention the fabulous Ms. Jennie, Concierge Extraordinaire. I informed Ms. Jennie that my bestie and I were visiting Key West for our birthday vacation. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was special. We arrived to find fabulous birthday decorations, a delicious charcuterie board, and a beautiful bottle of Prosecco in our upgraded room. It brought tears of joy and gratitude to our eyes. We can’t thank her enough. I wish we'd had the opportunity to meet her in person. We will make a point to do so on our next visit. The only downside of the hotel is the restaurant/bar, Isabel’s. They offer a free continental breakfast each morning that is simple and delicious – A perfect way to start the day. Other than that, the bar was never open during our stay. The hours they advertise for special afternoon/evening events were highly inconsistent or nonexistent. One evening, they had musical entertainment: a lone guitar player/singer who was so-so at best. The bar was closed, and no one was poolside except the chickens and us. We stayed poolside because we felt obligated to the entertainer. The experience with Isabel’s was a little disappointing, as it would have been nice to wind down from the day’s activities in the hotel's quaint courtyard. However, it will not deter us from returning and recommending the property.

Laura at the front desk was very helpful. She assisted us with bike rentals and route recommendations. We loved our stay at the hotel especially the great location. Walking distance to great points of interest and restaurants too! Can’t wait to come back.

A Wonderful Stay in Key West! My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Lighthouse Hotel! Everything was perfect, from the beautiful tropical greenery and peaceful atmosphere to the exceptional service and cleanliness. The location is fantastic! The hotel is right across from the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum, and we had an amazing view of the Key West Lighthouse right from our room window. It made our stay even more special! The breakfast was delicious, the housekeeping was excellent, and the entire property was beautifully maintained. Every detail made us feel comfortable and welcome. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and couldn't have asked for a better experience in Key West. We would absolutely love to come back! Highly recommended! ❤️

Great location, but don’t stay in room #11. There is a water leak that went unchecked in the vinyl…. The floor caves about 6 INCHES in when stepped on, almost feels like you’re about to fall through the floor to the first level. Also, watch out for a sneaky $50 amenity fee they charge per night, whether or not you use any. But they will still charge you to rent bikes even though you’re paying amenity fee

We had an exceptional stay at the lighthouse hotel! Johnny was an excellent host and made us feel welcomed. Our room, #12 had the perfect view of the lighthouse that we sat out and enjoyed. The breakfast was delicious and European style! The location was ideal! We’d definitely come back to this quaint historic hotel 💕

I was extremely disappointed with my stay. We arrived during normal check-in hours, but there was nobody available to check us in. We had to call the hotel and wait outside for about 30 minutes before someone finally helped us. Parking is another major inconvenience. It costs $30 per night, but the parking lot is not even at the hotel, so you have to park elsewhere and walk back to the property. The room itself was very basic — just a standard king room, with no balcony or anything that felt particularly upscale. Considering the room rate, additional hotel fees, and separate parking charge, I expected a much better experience. The property markets itself as a luxury/historic hotel, but based on my stay, the service and room did not match that expectation. The location is convenient, but that was not enough to make up for the check-in experience, inconvenient parking, and basic room.

This hotel was in a great location and I found the staff friendly and helpful. It was advertised as boutique and luxury, however I found it old and a little dirty. My room was tiny, had a faint musty smell, the mattress was sunken as if overused, and everything just felt a bit damp. The damp in the Florida heat I get, but the yucky mattress and lack of cleaning was hard to overlook. My trash was never emptied the whole week, and sheets were never changed though the bed was made a few days I was there. It all just felt kind of cheap which is not at all as advertised. It wasn't an awful trip but I won't stay at Lighthouse again unless they undergo extensive renovations.

Quick trip to KW for Labor Day. Great location, great staff Crystal at desk was very nice and always had a smile, Decent breakfast. Pool was ok but could use a slight refresher. Cute rooms but noticed a few sugar ants. Overall we would stay again.
