The Woods is a mainstream bar at 48 South 4th Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, listed here as gay-friendly. It is not a gay bar. It draws the general Williamsburg crowd, with DJs on later nights, and it has a lot of reviews (4.1 from more than 1,100). Listed hours run from 16:00 on weekdays, with a 14:00 start on Saturday. It closes at 2am early in the week and at 4am Wednesday to Saturday. If you want a queer night out in Brooklyn, the dedicated bars in Williamsburg and Bushwick are a better bet. Visited for the first time on a Sunday after a long day of work, and I'm glad I did. The moment I sat down, I loved the atmosphere. The backyard concept, pool table, and 2 Tv’s ( I wish they had more Tv’s) What stood out the most was the service. B was an excellent bartender,attentive, and friendly. I only planned on having one drink but ended up staying for more. The frozen strawberry margarita was amazing, and I really appreciated how B noticed my water was almost empty and refilled it without me asking. Wish more bartenders were like him in NY ! Definitely coming back and bringing friends with me!
