Best hotel in Oceanside !

Extra clean, super friendly, fantastic location.

This was our second time visiting Oceanside, and while we really love the area, I don’t think we’ll be staying at this hotel again. The location is great, and the beautiful lobby gives a very good first impression. Everything looks clean and inviting. However, after spending a few nights here, we realized it wasn’t the best choice for us. The breakfast staff was wonderful, and the front desk staff was always polite. Unfortunately, several of our requests were never taken care of. We requested a crib at check-in, but it was never brought to our room. We ended up co-sleeping with our daughter, which made for a few uncomfortable nights. We also requested housekeeping because our trash was full of dirty diapers, but no one ever came. The body wash dispenser was empty, one of the lamps above the nightstand wasn’t working, and there were very few amenities provided. The bottled water in the room was also extremely expensive, so I ended up going to CVS to buy soap, water, Q-tips, and a few other basics. As other guests have mentioned, there were no chairs on the balcony, which seemed like a missed opportunity, especially given the location. The pool is small but was never crowded during our stay. The room and bathroom felt a little outdated, although I appreciated having a microwave, refrigerator, and desk in the room. Overall, if you’re on a budget and want to stay in the heart of Oceanside, this is an okay option. However, for our next trip, I think we’ll stay at The Seabird next door. We visited their Lounge The Shore Room during this trip and had a really great experience with the service there.

Very disappointing experience. I asked the front desk for some hot water so I could prepare formula for my baby. There was no hot water available anywhere in the hotel for guests, and apparently the only place they had access to it was in the staff area. Instead of trying to help, the front desk employee told me to come back in 3 hours because they had no water for me at that moment. I was honestly shocked that such a simple and important request for a baby could not be accommodated. In the end, I had to leave the hotel and walk across the street to another hotel just to get hot water. Their staff were much more helpful and gave me hot water without any problem, even though I wasn’t even staying there.

PROS - Great location close to bars, restaurants, the train station, the pier and the beach - Good service by polite, helpful staff CONS - Rooms are dated, unkept and in bad need of repair - Parking is challenging

Be careful with your personal items. I had a birthday card I was in a rush and left on the desk area with the rest of my things. Came back later and the money inside was gone. Told the hotel staff about it and they “opened an investigation” to see who badged in the room but did nothing else about it. Truly sad that people take things that aren’t theirs. Lesson learned, lock your expensive things in the locker or make sure it’s hidden well.

There was water damage around the bathroom door that needs repair. For the price of the room, it should be visually pleasing as well as comfortable. The body wash dispenser was almost empty. We got on the elevator several times with staff that had a large bin of garbage from cleaning. How do you not have a service elevator 😒? I've never stayed in hotel where guests had to share an elevator with maintenance or cleaning staff. Some staff were very helpful and friendly, while others seemed like they were just trying to make it through the day. The roof top pool area was amazing... beautiful view of the ocean.

rested with family, the room was clean, but very old. location is good, but 40$ for parking is very expensive! breakfast is not bad, but during breakfast something in the food was very hard and my wife broke her tooth! we contacted the employees and the reaction was zero! the employees are unqualified, strangers suggested making an accident report, we did but the employees didn't really want it! after that we contacted the general manager ourselves and he told us that he is not afraid of us, because we are emigrants and it is our own fault! the manager is very rude and arrogant! I do not recommend this hotel to anyone! not worth the money they want to get for the vacation! plus the employees are unqualified!

We had a COCKROACH in our room! The only good thing about this hotel is the location near the beach and restaurants. It is NOT a 4 star hotel. The rooms are not very clean. No one cleaned my room the first day and I complained so they brought me towels but did not have anyone to clean. The second day they came to “clean” which consisted of taking out the trash and dirty towels. They should hire more people. The breakfast is pretty standard and gross. Trying to get any beach towels is a struggle. I paid way too much for this place and would recommend finding somewhere else to stay unless you get a super budget rate.

Not sure why I paid for a balcony with ocean views. There are NO chairs on the balconies, nothing. You can see them in the photos on the website. Very disappointing and deceptive.

Great location, very friendly staff. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Just steps from the beach.
