Henlopen Hotel

Wonderful hotel directly on the boardwalk. Conveniently located to all shops and dining in downtown Rehoboth. Friendly reception staff, clean bright rooms with a spa like bathroom. Toiletries provided, excellent coffee machine in the reception area, ocean view balconies are a real treat.

Basic new hotel . Service only upon request at the front desk. No food or breakfast, just coffee from a machine.

Excellent food and ambiance. I will go again!

This place is very nasty first the air conditioning don’t work they bring in a portable unit that makes noise all night and don’t cool the room the room is dirty outdated nasty garbage on the floor the tv we call 3 time to fix it they programmed it and still didn’t work the bed is old and not comfortable at at all also the pillows are bad the supervisor is a nasty person the other workers were good and respectful the area is nice lots of things to do around the area and the towels look nasty and dirty thank god I always have my own I would recommend this place and I would never come back also the brakes when out when we had them vacuum parking is very difficult it’s a very tight spot

My best friend and I stayed here last year for the first time and came back this year! Our balcony room was so relaxing and we loved the comfy room and views of the beach. The staff is very friendly! The vending machines have good snack selections. I enjoyed the quiet and less crowded location of the boardwalk as well! This hotel has a special charm and we will be back!!

I saw some of the recent negative reviews of the hotel before we arrived, and I was a bit worried about what I'd be walking into as we've never stayed here before. But I must say I had a very different experience than the negative reviews. Reception was very welcoming and informative. Our room was an ocean view, and it certainly was! The balcony and front entrance to our room had wonderful views of the ocean. No continental breakfast unfortunately, but they do offer free muffins and a range of coffees or hot chocolate in the lobby. And it's on the boardwalk so you're within walking distance to good restaurants too. Beds and pillows were nice and comfy. The double queen room was pretty nice, I don't think I'd consider it outdated like a few other reviews. Big plus is that the walls are not paper thin! If we had any neighbors, I wouldn't have known. The only complaint I have is the parking. That parking garage is so narrow, so please be extremely wary if you have a large vehicle. Overall, will definitely stay here again. Edit: I do want to add that the room was a little humid (early September stay) even with the air conditioner on, but it didn't effect sleep quality!

Look...beachfront hotels are tough to judge because of the beating they take from the patrons' tracking sand in and drying wet clothes etc.... That having been said, we had a nice stay here and the management apparently does a decent job keeping up with all of that. Location is walkable to some terrific restaurants. The beach is nice, and the boardwalk makes getting into the old heart of Rehoboth Beach easy. My only complaint is that the parking garage spaces were pretty tight for our Bronco. That notwithstanding, I would choose it again.

First impressions of the front desk very poor staff seems frustrated and not welcoming to the guest I had reserved and prepaid for first floor room 2 months ahead but had to settle for the 3rd floor room cause rooms couldn't be cleaned in time. Room was not clean bugs on the floor that we had to put trash can upside-down over them just to.keep the bugs contained front desk and guest service none existed. We found another hotel on the boardwalk with much better guest service with clean room and better value.
