Drury Plaza Hotel St. Paul Downtown

I am deeply disappointed by how my husband and I were treated by Bruce Techampel, General Manager of the downtown Drury Hotel. We believe we were racially profiled, manipulated, and falsely accused of smoking in our room because the hotel could not recover a previous smoking fee from our first anniversary stay. We acknowledge our past mistake, but that does not justify what happened this time. Bruce claimed he personally witnessed excessive smoke and needed special equipment to remove it, despite us being outside the night before. When we challenged his conflicting statements, he threatened to call the police. We were removed from the hotel, charged for our October 10 booking, and still have not received a proper refund. I am asking Drury corporate to investigate, review the videos posted below, and hold management accountable. No one should be treated this way, and I want answers, accountability, and our money returned.

Staff here has always been exceptional!!

Have stayed there many times. Always a good experience

I have been amazed at how clean and updated this hotel is. There is always enough staff wearing travel happy shirts giving attention to whatever you need. Rooms spacious, quiet and comfortable beds. Not really sure how I feel about downtown st paul but it is nice that the hotel has its own parking. If im back for work, this is where I will book my stay!

My wife and I stayed here after the Minnesota Vikings game. And it was great! We had a nice little dinner in there restaurant/bar. And had a nice quiet night in out comfortable hotel room. And man do they put out a great spread for breakfast. Too much food and everything to mention.I highly recommend the Drury for your next stay.

loved it...would like to revisit. thank you so much🤍♠️

The Drury makes sure to make itself avaiable to your needs. It has two lots of parking(pay for parking, not connected by sidewalk and may not have enough room for all the people present), free drinks and snacks at night. A decent hotel room, gym, pool and hot tub. However for a 8 floor hotel that hosts how many thousands of people. This hotel often seems overwhelmed by its own popularity. The food here is basic and bland. The free breakfasts and snacks are likewise basic and bland. The hardworking and friendly staff is one of the shinning lights for the hotel. The price is worth what you get, but for a hotel that touts itself a giant in the industry. It seems to fall just flat for me.

This is my first time staying at a Drury and I’m a big fan. The kick back happy hour was a full (and very tasty) dinner plus three excellently mixed drinks per guest - all included. Room is big and clean. All the staff is very friendly. Location is solid. Definitely a great choice if you are looking for a place to stay in St. Paul.

Easy to find, friendly staff and the.curly dark hair kid w glasses who helped us check in was PHENOMENAL! VERY informative, and extremely helpful with the place as we've never stayed here. Made check-in enjoyable and smooth!

New raving fan! Excellent rates, baller rooms. Staff exceptional, food was great. Love 💗

The height of taking care of there guest. Breakfast, dinner, a few cocktails. Sure parking is 16 bucks but honestly you get that back pretty quick.
