The Pilsner Inn is a neighbourhood gay bar at 225 Church Street in Duboce Triangle, a few blocks from the heart of the Castro. It is known for a long list of beers on tap, cheap-for-San-Francisco drinks, a pool table and darts. Out back there is a patio, and it is one of the few places in the area where smokers gather.
The crowd is mostly locals and it is relaxed rather than a dance spot, busiest after work and on weekend afternoons when sports are on. The Church Street Muni stop is outside, and the bars of Market and Castro streets are a short walk away.
