Gay money should go elsewhere. Two rail drinks @ happy hour for 15 bucks and the time to use the restroom and my coat was abducted from my bench to coat check and given back for 3 dollars !!!

The upper level dance floor is poppin, and the roof is a great place to dance and look out over Florida St. Fun disco DJs on Saturdays, strong drinks. Yay.

This is a good bar for dancing and having late night drinks. The open patio deck on the top floor is a must see. A great photo opportunity awaits because we all were truly BORN THIS WAY!!!!

First, relatively new bar that's expanding and growing (so give them a break if everything isn't "perfect". Fun gay bar popular for many who wish to escape the crowds of Town or the drama of nellies at Nellie's. Various events and specials - the roof is always popular!

The bear specializes in the "Bear" community and offers so much more. A pub-like lower bar, a second floor restaurant and a roof top bear bar. The patrons are gorgeous, the staff is gorgeous and the food is amazing with bear like portions that left us with doggy bags, The drinks are ample and well priced. Our weight was fun, confident and flirty which as a gay bar was perfect. This is my new go to place

Uproar is my has recently become my favorite spot. As a sober guy their menu/food options keep me coming in and going out. I love the more casual vibe and generally patrons and staff are all very friendly. I never have a bad night here, no matter how busy or slow it is. Their frozen drink options also separate them from competition. I LOVE coming out here and hope to see more people out supporting this bar.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Uproar Lounge & Restaurant, and honestly, it’s a hidden gem that deserves every bit of a glowing review. This place is more than just a lounge; it’s a vibrant, multi-generational, and multicultural spot where everyone seems to come together and just have a fantastic time. They do incredible karaoke nights (usually on Thursdays or Fridays) and trivia nights that are a total blast. The sound and AV systems are top-notch, making both singing and trivia super engaging. Plus, one of the managers—who’s known as Miss Uproar DC—is absolutely wonderful and brings a warm, welcoming energy to the place. And let’s not forget the drinks! I tried a few, from a classic Manhattan to a simple whiskey and Coke, and they were all crafted beautifully. The food? Equally impressive! I’ve tried the fried chicken and sliders, and they come out looking like elevated bar food, tasting just as amazing as they look. Overall, Uproar Lounge is a must-visit if you want a friendly, inclusive vibe with great food, drinks, and entertainment. Definitely make a reservation and enjoy the experience—it’s worth every moment.
