Bear Week 是普羅溫斯頓（Provincetown）夏季對熊族、幼熊、水獺以及追逐他們的人們來說最盛大的一週。在七月的這七天裡，科德角（Cape Cod）的尖端擠滿了留著鬍子、穿著背心的男人，民宿早在幾個月前就已訂滿，鎮上的同志酒吧更是圍繞著這群人來規劃全年的行事曆。這不是那種單一入口入場的節慶活動，而是一場全城佔領式的狂歡，讓它成為第一次同志旅行的輕鬆選擇：你走出門，就身在其中了。
這一週從週六開始到下一個週六結束。PtownBears 販售 Bear Tags，讓已註冊的參與者可以免費或優惠價格進入相關聯的活動，各場地也會在此基礎上疊加自己的派對。Boatslip 大多數下午都會舉辦茶舞會（tea dance），時間大約在下午四點到七點之間；而 Crown & Anchor、Purgatory 和 Red Room 則負責夜晚的狂歡。週中通常在 Herring Cove 會有營火晚會，此外還有泳池派對，以及與之並行、需另行購票的 BearMania 派對系列。兩個週末是人潮最多的時候。中間的日子較為平靜，也比較容易找到餐桌或吧檯的位置。
請盡早預訂你的房間。普羅溫斯頓沒有大型飯店來吸收過剩的客源，這一週的價格達到高峰，而且許多民宿都設有最短住宿天數限制。前往那裡也需要事先規劃。從波士頓出發的快速渡輪在開幕週六就會售罄，Cape Air 提供從波士頓出發的小型飛機航班，而開車則意味著要面對 Route 6 的交通擁堵，以及在鎮上稀缺且昂貴的停車位。一旦到了那裡，所有地方都可以步行抵達，所以如果可以的話，就把車留在後面吧。
2026 年的版本從 7 月 11 日週六開始，到 2026 年 7 月 18 日週六結束，並在 Boatslip 的 FURBALL 派對中揭幕；BearMania 則列於 7 月 11 日至 19 日。沒有人發布可靠的參加人數統計。某些旅遊網站上的大數字缺乏來源支持，我們也無法確認第一屆 Bear Week 的年份，因此我們不對這兩項數據進行猜測。當我們查證時，2027 年的日期尚未公布，但近年來這一週都固定在七月中旬舉行。
