Amazing dinner experience at Olive tonight! Service was great and food was delicious! Would definitely recommend the beef tartare and the slow cooked lamb shoulder! We did have to talk quite loud, over all the tables, for convo. But i guess its a good thing that business is booming!
Fantastic "Feed me" menu.
I didn't get to eat here so can't comment on the food unfortunately, because on a Tuesday night in Adelaide with a group of work colleagues with varying dietary requirements and hunger levels we were told that as a group of 8 people we had to use their 'feed me' banquet and couldn't order ala carte. Their Feed Me menu is $79 per person. So we walked out, and went elsewhere. I get that during busy times larger groups can be hard to manage but let's be realistic here - 8 people ordering what they want to eat on a Tuesday evening in September shouldn't be difficult. The attitude from the wait staff we had seemed like they couldn't care less whether we stayed or left. Some of us would probably have spent more than $79. Some probably less. The inflexibility on a Tuesday night though just makes no sense.
We are in Adelaide for one night after travelling for a month and were lucky enough to find Olive for dinner. The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. The cost was reasonable especially as my husband had a glass of French champagne. The food was delicious and the standout dish for us was the gnocchi. We felt the servings were generous and the wait for our dishes to arrive was short. Our meal was a wonderful way to end our month long trip in WA, NT and Adelaide. Thankyou for a lovely finish to our trip.
Went to dinner at Olive, the atmosphere and staff was welcoming and comfortable. We got the “feed me” lovely range of good, definitely left full!
