fabALICE Festival

fabALICE is Alice Springs' queer festival: four days of drag, cabaret and family events in March, run by a volunteer committee with NT Major Events support. It was first held on 7 to 10 March 2024, for the 30th anniversary of The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, whose drag trio finish their road trip with a show at Lasseters casino in Alice Springs.

Star Observer and Qantas Travel Insider describe opening night at Crowne Plaza Lasseters, a night market and street parade in Todd Mall, drag bingo, film nights, a disco and a gala in an open-air quarry outside town. The 2025 festival ran on 27 to 30 March and the 2026 edition on 26 to 29 March.

Dates for 2027 had not been announced at the time of writing. Check fabalice.com or @fabalicefest on Instagram, and book accommodation early, as the town's hotels fill up that week.
