The location is very convenient, about a 2-minute walk from the train station. Many attractions (Circular Quay, Museum, Central Station) are within a 30-minute walk from the hotel. Woollies Metro is also very close (about 5 minutes) and is quite large. There are also many restaurants near Woollies. There's a Japanese ramen and a Thai restaurant nearby that are both very good. However, there's no room service on weekends, and the room was only cleaned once on weekdays, but this didn't affect the overall experience, so I didn't ask. I only found out about the microwave by asking reception during the last few days. I booked a twin room, and the three of us slept comfortably, and we managed to fit all four pieces of luggage (three adults and one child). The bathroom is large, but there's no toilet seat, and only two hooks, so I always felt there wasn't enough space to put clothes while showering. The window doesn't offer much of a view, so I usually keep the curtains closed, but since it was cheap and I was often out and about, it didn't bother me too much. I would definitely stay here again.
We stayed in room 125 on May 21-25. We had paid over 60 days in advance to be told when we turned up at reception that we needed to pay $100 bond. Nothing unusual. But no paper work was signed stating this (RED FLAG). On departure they had confusion on parking thinking that we had an outstanding balance to pay for 4 nights of parking. We did not park there and informed them of this mistake. They said “we should see our bond back in a couple days”. We have not seen the money come back. Since then they have avoiding returning our calls more than 3 times. Never had any reply to our emails. It’s been 3 weeks. We can’t dispute the charge with the bank as there was no paper work signed for the bond. Pretty bloody scammy if you ask me. Feeling ripped off by this place. Some one get in contact with me ASAP if you work for this establishment.
The staff were very welcoming and provided excellent service, allowing me to check in early. The location is also fantastic, conveniently close to the airport and city center, and there are supermarkets nearby where I can buy souvenirs.
I chose this hotel for my holiday because of the good rating in google but the hotel really didnt live up to it. Especially the housekeeping services. We understand that the room is only being cleaned every two days or so, but once we found our beds were not made, floor was not vacuumed (our hairs were still everywhere), and most shockingly was how the housekeeper emptied the trash can but forgot to put the bin back to the track can and just left it on top of the toilet. This is the kind of mistakes even 2-3 stars hotels I’ve stayed in never made. I raised this complaint in my last day to the receptionist without any compensation. I dont recommend staying here for your holiday if you dont want your mood to be ruined. I also will not stay here anymore.
