فندق Hi Inn Shanghai People Square Jiangyin Road

This is a branch of Hi Inn, a budget chain under the Huazhu (H World) group. It is on Jiangyin Road, a small street just behind People's Square in Huangpu District. It is a mainstream budget hotel, not a gay venue. The Google profile shows a 1.0 rating with no review count, which tells you little either way. Check Chinese booking platforms for current reviews, and confirm the hotel accepts foreign guests before you book. People's Square metro (lines 1, 2 and 8) is a few minutes away. Nanjing Road and the Bund are walkable.
