Van Der Valk Hotel Dennenhof

Pure rip-off! 277 euros for a room for one night with breakfast. If only it had been a suite... no, just a standard room, no air conditioning, and a primitive bathroom for that price. Luckily the staff is friendly and the breakfast is tasty. But I will never return to Van der Valk Brasschaat! Definitely not value for money!!!

Magnificent experience. Warm welcome, you are clearly expected here. Beautiful surroundings. Pet-friendly. Top-notch restaurant. Received expert yet warm advice, without being 'pushy'. Breakfast = a horn of plenty, and so fresh and delicious too! Room with all amenities. Bathroom with a bathtub, blissful. And finally: every staff member who gives you the impression that they genuinely enjoy working here... surely that can't be a coincidence, can it?

Super quiet hotel, only about 20 minutes from Antwerp city center. Very spacious rooms for relaxing. Really good breakfast with everything you need to start the day.

Very satisfied with our stay (couple with dog). Upon arrival, we were given the opportunity to get a room with a small garden (with real grass). This was not the case with the room type we had booked. They really go out of their way to make a stay with a four-legged friend as pleasant as possible. The room is very luxuriously furnished and completely silent, despite its location on a busy road. In the bar, they spontaneously brought a bowl of water for our dog. Our dog was also allowed to come along to dinner in the à la carte restaurant. We were even given a quiet table where she could sleep to her heart's content during our meal. The next morning (after the comment that our dog was allowed in the breakfast room), we quickly booked breakfast. This was unique, as in most hotels dogs are not allowed in the breakfast room if it is served buffet style. Here too, we were assigned a quiet table, a little further away from the buffet. The buffet is very extensive and, in addition to the standard offerings, contains a very wide range of healthy products. Something for everyone and decision fatigue (in a good way) guaranteed. Rarely have I experienced such a pet-friendly hotel. Highly recommended!

What was nice was that there was no Wi-Fi; finally, attention for each other and the delicious food. Service could have been better. "Oh, I forgot the applesauce; would you still like it so I can bring it over?" My husband thought, "What a strange question, why don't you just bring it over? After all, it came with the ordered dish." "Half chicken." Afterwards, he regretted not saying yes; he didn't want to be a nuisance, so his first answer was, "No, it's not necessary."
