Colombipark

It is the park of the archaeological museum of the municipality of Fribourg. It was a mansion converted into a museum. Its English garden has become a public park. The municipality tries to plant vine plans. There are no benches. To keep people from lingering and spending all day there. The inhabitants at noon, eat their sandwiches on the perimeter wall.

The first impression was really great. Really idyllic. We came from the train station and walked up the beautiful path through the vineyards. It was really beautiful. But when we got to the other side, we were shocked. There were containers and lots of people there that you wouldn't really want to meet... especially not with children. Several of them had taken syringes and were totally upset and were running around without pants. We quickly got out of there and a woman told us that it was normal here. It was the place for addicts. If I had known that, I wouldn't have gone to the Colombischlössle with my family. No matter how beautiful it actually is.

A park not too big and not too spectacular, located in the area of the old town. It is dominated by an old, imposing building that houses the Archeology Museum. This winter, a Christmas market was organized in this park.

A pleasant city park provides a relaxing space amongst the flora. It was lovely in the autumnal season with trees changing colours. Much seating is available, to sit and contemplate. Whilst not overly extensive, it is also the home of the fine Archaologisches Museum Colombischlossle.

A nice park for a snack. Opposite it is an Edeka store where you can buy anything you need.

A fountain, a quiet and cozy park, people who aren’t in a hurry to go anywhere… And I decided to stop for a while, get some ice cream, and simply enjoy the peace and tranquility🤍

A lovely Roman-style playground for the little one and a mist shower for the whole family! 😁

It needs maintenance and to shine more.

The park itself, with its grapevines, flowerbeds, and seating areas, is very beautiful. What's bothersome is the intoxicated crowd, some of whom also urinate there.
