Barcelo Hamburg

It started with a problem and ended perfectly. A very nice hotel in a central location. The breakfast was really good. You can walk everywhere. Very close to the central train station. In a very safe and beautiful neighborhood. We were able to go for walks with my family until late at night. On the morning of the room they arranged for us for the first night, they started a large construction project right above us. Demolition work with large machines. They even extended a huge hose outside, reaching into our room. Since our window was open, all the construction dust came in. We were not warned about this at all. Afterwards, they said they would change our room to find a solution and gave us a room two floors above the one where the construction was taking place. However, I would like to thank the manager, Santiago, who was on duty that evening. He solved all our problems, arranged a much better room for us in a much better location, and made our holiday wonderful with a nice gesture. Thank you, Santiago Dosil Fernandez.

I was a conference organizer and overnight guest at the Barcelo Hamburg and was very satisfied. Both the conference team and all other staff members were consistently attentive and helpful. The conference equipment was on site as agreed and everything was in good working order. My room was large, clean, and quiet. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful, as was the conference catering. The location is very central and within walking distance of the main train station. I'll definitely remember this address! 👍

I stayed 5 nights in Mar 2026. I made the reservation from Barcelona website. I made the reservation for myself and colleagues totally 5 rooms but when I checked app. No record. I have to write to the customer service for double check. They replied and confirmed. After the stay, I found there is no reward on my Barcelo account. I wrote to customer service again attached my invoice ( only my room, not for the others) . No reply. After waiting 5 weeks, I wrote again. They replied me in MAY confirmed the reward. However, nothing in my account again. I decided to give up, not wasting my time back and forth. The hotel is good but the customer service sucks.

After getting completely soaked, I discovered that the shower gel / shampoo were completely empty—not a single drop left. The conditioner had only amount remaining. Isn’t this something that should be checked before a guest checks in? It shows a serious lack of attention to basic housekeeping standards. My friend reported the issue to the front desk, but she was told that there was only one staff member on duty at the time, so it couldn’t be handled immediately. I had to wait over 10 minutes before the toiletries were finally delivered. This is a very basic mistake that should not happen in a four-star hotel.

A fantastic hotel in a perfect location! The staff are incredibly friendly and always in a good mood! The breakfast was very plentiful and delicious! We would definitely book again!
