There is no parking!!

Great service and location! I was unlucky my room did not have a fridge. Other than that, all perfect!

Clean, modernly furnished room at a good price. The location is very central, right by the market square and also close to the parade ground. Parking is available in the underground garage.

During my stay, there were a total of four false alarms. On Saturday, we had to leave the hotel at approximately 4:00 AM and again at 5:00 AM due to false alarms. On Sunday, there were two further evacuations at around 8:00 AM and 9:45 AM. Additionally, there was a cockroach in my room on the first day. Under these circumstances, a relaxing stay was impossible. I therefore request a fair refund or another amicable solution.

I stayed at the Nyx for one night as part of a festival. It was the worst night I've slept in years. The last time I slept so badly was when my child was teething. My room was tolerable temperature-wise, but others in our group complained about unbearable heat. The air conditioning made more noise than it cooled. The real culprit, however, was the ventilation system. Only in the morning, when I turned off the air conditioning, did I realize that the horrifically loud humming (which reminded me of my coffee pod machine) was probably the bathroom fan. This humming starts irregularly and suddenly, just to make sure you don't fall asleep. Then, in the morning, the siren suddenly blared. Completely exhausted, I'd already considered just staying in bed and burning to death. I went outside anyway, only to find out: false alarm. The firefighters present said something about "it happening again." With aching ears and on the verge of tears from lack of sleep, I got myself a coffee and then lay back down, hoping for at least a few minutes of peace. That wasn't easy, partly because the pillows were completely oversized. Just when I thought I might finally doze off from exhaustion, the sirens blared again. Maybe I'll find the story funny someday, but for me personally, sleep deprivation is pure poison, and my night at the Nyx bordered on assault. On the plus side: The mattress was okay, and the shower head wasn't calcified.

The location is very central yet quiet, the room was okay, and the staff was friendly but completely overwhelmed. There was no toilet paper in the room. Breakfast: generally okay, but nothing was replenished, and the buffet was simply left to its own devices. Consequently, almost everything was gone after the first hour. Furthermore: on the first night (Friday to Saturday) at 4:05 a.m., there was a fire alarm – a false alarm. The second morning (Saturday to Sunday) at 8:05 a.m. – a false alarm. Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. – another false alarm. For this, we were refunded €20 without any questions asked (no explanation as to why, but okay). BUT: False alarms can happen, but what is completely unacceptable is that during all three alarms, no staff were visible, there was no coordination whatsoever, no one checked if everyone was outside, no assembly point was designated, meaning the guests were running around in a disorganized manner, some remaining in their rooms or sitting in the lobby, and the elevators were simply still in use. The poor firefighters (visibly annoyed from the second alarm onward) were the only ones who actually informed the guests, calmed them down, sent them out, and gave them permission to re-enter (although many were already inside). Furthermore, only half the guests heard the second alarm, as only some of the alarms in the hallways were working. Therefore: anyone who treats guest safety like this should simply shut down.
