Sardegna Hotel

Sardegna Hotel is a mid-size hotel on Via Lunigiana in the residential north-west of Cagliari, about 3 km from Via Roma. Google mentions sleek rooms and suites, some with views over the gulf, and a restaurant. It is a mainstream hotel, listed here as gay-friendly, not a gay property. It rates 4.2 from about 1,270 Google reviews. This is a practical pick if you arrive by car on the SS131 or want easier parking than the old town allows. Without a car, expect to rely on buses or taxis to reach the Marina, Castello and Poetto.

We stayed at this hotel for one night because we were leaving the next day. The rooms are simply furnished and could be cleaned better, but both the staff and breakfast were good. We also dined at the hotel restaurant and enjoyed a very good meal. The dishes were well-prepared, and the restaurant staff was very efficient and courteous.
