Palazzo Consiglia

This is the 10th trip to Valletta and the 9th time we have booked at the Plazzo Consiglia. We keep coming back because we love Valletta and have come to love Palazzo Consiglia just as much. All the rooms are individual and unique and combine comfort and class. We tend to stay in the matiaj room as it has a large galleria offering a nice place to relax and read.... or just watch the world go by. Over the years all the staff have been polite, friendly and personable. Nothing is too much for any of them. The location of the hotel is ideal, its in the old part of the city but offers quick easy access to the bustling evening life. Valletta has fine food, an almost unsurpassed place of historical interest and a plethera of cultural events. But to see and be part of all this we highly recommend your stay be at the hotel Palazzo Consiglia.

The situation is perfect in the old town, very quiet, the staff is welcoming, the homemade breakfast very good, the spa amazing. But unfortunately there is a problem : you might get a room with no window, and as it is not clearly explained on the booking form, it's a very bad surprise on your arrival ! In the room we got, there was what they called a "skylight", claustrophobics go some where else...It's probably not the case of all the rooms, but you better be careful when making your reservation.

Palazzo Consiglia in Malta left an excellent impression. The historic character of the building is truly unique and can be felt in every corner, creating an atmosphere of elegance and authenticity. The rooms were impeccable, with great attention to detail and a high level of comfort. The service was outstanding, marked by professionalism and genuine hospitality throughout our stay. Overall, everything was absolutely perfect and the experience was truly unforgettable.

From the moment we arrived Tony, Ljiljana, Paolo and the rest of their wonderful team went out of their way to make us feel welcome, relaxed and cared for. Nothing was too much trouble, whether it was in planning our daily outings or even checking the weather forecast. The hotel is an oasis of style and calm and very conveniently located in the heart of Valetta, yet in a quiet side street. The Spa area was fabulous and we greatly appreciated being able to book hourly sessions for our private use. Very much looking forward to coming back again for a longer stay!😊

Tony and the team were incredible. Attentive and helpful. Helped us plan day trips and gave us a great summery of the country and town on arrival. Also in a great location as it’s in the old town but removed from main drags so much quieter. Breakfast was lovely and room and spa were beyond perfect. It was my wife’s birthday while we were there but we didn’t say anything but Tony noticed while taking our details. At breakfast on her birthday the team sang happy birthday and provided a very lovely little posh cake. While we were out the housekeeping team created a 3 tier cake tower. An incredible touch. Can’t recommend this hotel enough. 100% would go back in a heartbeat.

An Exceptional Boutique Experience in Valletta. We spent 5 nights at Pallazzo Consiglia and were absolutely delighted. The hotel is built in a historic structure and combines the charm of the ancient with modern comfort, creating an elegant and peaceful atmosphere in the heart of Valletta. The staff was exceptionally kind and attentive, making us feel truly welcome. We booked the Sirena suite, spacious bath, and comfortable beds. The rooftop terrace provides a great escape to drink our morning coffee. The hotel is very close to all historic sites and the center of Valletta (about a the 5-10 min walk). If you are looking for an intimate and perfectly located boutique hotel in Valletta, Palazzo Consiglia is a hidden sanctuary in the heart of city. Thank you for all.

​I wanted to reach out and share how much we enjoyed our recent stay at Palazzo Consiglia We truly overwhelmed with the fantastic service from all the,staff making our stay that much more memorable from Devika,Sushma,Tony and housekeeping chef nightpotters every one they went out of their way to help to help make our anniversary stay unforgettable it truly made our stay memorable. ​It’s rare to find that level of hospitality, This has to be the best hotel we stayed in thank you again

A fantastic experience in Valletta! The Palazzo Consiglia is an impeccable boutique hotel. The room was very cozy and comfortable, perfect for relaxing. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful from start to finish. The facilities are a highlight: the spa area is excellent for relaxing, and the rooftop terrace offers a beautiful view of the city. The location couldn't be better, with easy access to everything and surrounded by great bars and restaurants, yet still maintaining tranquility. I highly recommend it!

Right from day 1 we were treated with care and respect by the exceptional staff at this beautiful boutique hotel. Our special thanks to Devika for a super friendly check in and to Ljiljana for making sure all our special needs were fulfilled. Thanks to breakfast crew for delicious breakfasts every single day especially the yummy cakes. We stayed over Christmas so enjoyed the sweet mince pies home made at the Palazzo. Thank you Chef. Our room Maltija with the traditional Maltese balcony was perfect for us. We were v grateful for the Mini bar and turn down service every evening. We had booked the spa for each day of our stay. Was a relaxing after enjoying our long walks in Malta. We will surely be back at this home away from home. Dont think twice, just book this hotel!

Have just returned from a three night stay at this wonderful hotel. Service was exceptional from Toni and the team. The hotel is very stylish with rooms of grandeur and elegance but also managing to feel quiet and comfortable at the same time. Breakfast buffet was the best I've had in a hotel for a long time ,catering for all tastes and diets. We used the spa and treatments and cannot fault these either. The location is about as good as you can get being right in the heart of Valetta. We will be returning for a longer stay in the summer

Having read some of the previous reviews it's going to be difficult to top them but I'll give it a try! This hotel is absolutely fantastic! Everything about it is top drawer! From the staff, to the quality of the rooms, to the underground spa, the rooftop pool, and the breakfast, all simply 5 star!! The location is the best bit as it's right in the heart of Valletta. Less than a 5 minute walk to countless cafes and restaurants but one of the quietest hotels we've ever stayed in. We felt it was reasonably priced too as was the food and drink considering you're in a European capital city. So much of the food is excellent but we fell in love with the bread. The Ftira and pizzas were always freshly baked and so tasty! The architecture and history was a particular highlight too. A 10 minute walk to the harbour got you onto a fast ferry to Gozo or on a smaller boat over to the three cities. Both highly recommended. We were very fortunate that we stayed when the hotel introduced a walk with the staff and other hotel guests at the Dingli cliffs. They'd arranged a picnic with the hotel owner and other hotel staff which was a lovely surprise. We got many recommendations on places to visit during our stay from Christopher who was one of the staff members on the walk. I hope they introduce more walks for guests as not only was it a great trip but it really helped us figure out exactly what to see during our visit. Christopher is a real character and an asset to the hotel group. We were also blessed with fantastic weather during our stay which was the icing on the cake. The only negative was that we had to come home back to the UK!! Needless to say, my wife and I would highly recommend this hotel and a visit to Malta. We'll hopefully be back there again soon!
