Pride Almere

Pride Almere is the city's LGBTQ+ Pride, held each October around Coming Out Day (11 October) rather than in the summer. It is a cultural, awareness-focused Pride week rather than a nightlife circuit: expect theatre and performance, talks and workshops, a "Roze Danspaleis" dance afternoon and family-friendly programming, much of it staged at the Kunstlinie Almere Flevoland (KAF) arts centre in the city centre. As an official Dutch "Regenboogstad", Almere backs the week alongside the Roze Almere network and local partners. It complements, rather than competes with, the huge Amsterdam Pride canal parade in early August, which is a short train ride away.
