The atmosphere is of care and love for each other. People of all kinds of shape and ages are there and everyone is so kind, staff are wonderful and one of the owner Richard is also known as a political activist who fought for the availability of Prep in the Netherlands and safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ people in Amsterdam. Club Church also sponsors LGBTQIA+ clubs in our city. So you support a great cause when you go there.

Simply the best place on earth. Nice people, the bouncer Eric is so special, the music.... I made many friends in the church including my life partner. Fridays are great, also. S.O.S on sundays.

I went here on two nights during a recent trip to Amsterdam and it did not disappoint. Obviously, it is a good starting point if you know what is inside before you go in (and i did) but once inside I knew I was in the right place. It was exactly what I was looking for in a club in Amsterdam. The bouncer, staff and people inside are absolute legends. My first night was (z)onderbroek and the music was amazing. You get everything you come for there and the people dancing with you and around are the most respectful fun people I have ever been around in a club. I was also there for a glow stick party and it did not disappoint. If you want a good time in Amsterdam and know what you are going into, this is the place and no one beats it. The entire design of the inside is hands down the best you could imagine.

The doorman at Club Church is exceptional—genuinely friendly and helpful, making a great first impression. However, allowing friends who aren’t on the guest list to skip the line ahead of others who waited for hours feels unfair. Even those who benefited said it felt like cheating cutting in. The club itself is solid, bustling with energy during Pride weekend, so arriving early (around 9pm) is advisable. One suggestion: the wooden wall and dark back alley on the balcony don’t enhance the vibe. Replacing it with something more creative, like a sling or a bed, could improve the atmosphere. Overall, Club Church is a nice place, and worth visiting.
