Restaurante Dom Vinho

Although the food was delicious, the prices are not justified. London prices in Lagos, not surprising that we were the only people there for most of the time. NO aircon, but luckily we could turn the only fan in the restaurant on us as we were the only ones there at the time.

It was a wonderful experience . We met the owner Antonio and were surprised to learn about his distinguished career . Service was outstanding and food was delicious . It was well worth making our way here from the old town. Thank you !

Let's be realistic, this place is a 10/10. A bad review based on price seems unfair. The quality of the ingredients and preparation, some dishes like the sole cooked tableside, the friendliness of the staff and the owner, etc., etc... everything is a 10/10. Cheap? It's not, but I don't think it's expensive for what it offers. To get to the point, the sole with orange was spectacular, the Cypriot dishes, the unnamed sea bass... well, everything was spectacular. We've been to the Agarve for a week and this is the best place we've been, and we're on a trip looking for places to eat. Congratulations to the restaurant!

Restaurant Dom Vinho in Lagos is a true discovery for lovers of good food and fine wine. Upon entering, you immediately feel the cozy and inviting atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive, which only enhances the experience. The pepper steak was absolutely the highlight of the meal. Perfectly prepared, with a tenderness rarely encountered. The pepper sauce added a delicious, spicy kick without overpowering the taste of the meat. Additionally, the chocolate mousse was a fantastic finale. Creamy and full of flavor, this mousse melts on your tongue and completes the dinner.

Had the most delicious dinner. If you’re looking for a hidden gem in Lagos this is the place for you. Antonio the owner makes sure to check on you and when I was struggling on what to order he recommended their sole which was so soft it melted in your mouth and the vegetables were done perfectly. We ordered multiple rounds of sangria which was amazing as well and had the seafood cocktail to start which was refreshing.

I can’t say enough good things about the meal and the experience! Meeting the owner and learning about the history of the restaurant topped it all off but the food was one of the best meals I have ever had, not just in Portugal. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Lagos and beautiful Portugal!

On our last night in Lagos, we discovered this gem - thank you, Google! Amazing fresh food, friendly service. We were treated like family. We met Antonio and listened to his story of his career of cooking with his heart and feeding everyone from old friends to the president. The food was out of this world! The best we had since we set foot in Portugal. Please do yourself a favor and don't leave Lagos without paying a visit to Dom Vinho!
