Underwhelming! Very disappointing experience — would not recommend Unfortunately, this was an extremely disappointing dining experience from start to finish. The food was poor, the service was unpleasant, and overall it was nowhere near the standard I would expect from a restaurant of this calibre. The fries were particularly unacceptable. They were extremely greasy and saturated with oil, to the point that they were difficult to eat. They genuinely tasted and looked like frozen potatoes that had simply been thrown into a fryer, rather than something prepared properly in a restaurant. I find it difficult to understand how this was considered acceptable to serve to paying customers. The stroganoff was equally disappointing. It did not taste like stroganoff at all, and the dish was completely lacking in seasoning and flavour. There was no depth, no balance and simply nothing enjoyable about it. The entrecôte was also incredibly underwhelming, with virtually no flavour whatsoever. For a dish where the quality of the meat should speak for itself, it was remarkably bland. Unfortunately, the service only made the experience worse. The waitress was rude and made us feel extremely uncomfortable when she asked whether we had “forgotten the PIN” when we were paying by card. Regardless of what was intended, the way this was handled came across as unnecessarily judgemental and inappropriate, particularly when dealing with paying customers. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I have had. The food was tasteless, the quality was poor, and the service was unpleasant. I would not return, and I certainly would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. For the prices and the type of establishment this is supposed to be, the experience was simply not acceptable.

The seating area by the sea behind the promenade is lovely. The price-performance ratio wasn't right for us. We had barely sat down when we were asked what we wanted to drink, even though we hadn't seen a menu yet. Ordering in English wasn't entirely smooth; vegetarian nachos were served with a meat topping. Instead of apologizing, we were accused of not ordering clearly. Sorry, but then we should have ordered again. The quality of the food was good. The beer glass was completely filthy, which is unacceptable. As soon as I finished my last bite, my plate was snatched away; I barely had time to wipe my hands on the napkin. Unacceptable service for the price.

Beautiful place, great atmosphere and excellent service

A very disappointing experience due to the service received. Yesterday we were at El Senador and spent around €800 at the restaurant. Afterwards, we went to the drinks/chill-out area and, when speaking with a waitress, she suggested we go to the private area, known as the “Casita del Senador” (Little Senator's House). I should add that I'm a regular customer of the establishment. In fact, I've even celebrated my birthdays there, and it's very rare that a month goes by without us eating there at least two or three times. Precisely for that reason, what happened yesterday disappointed me even more. At that moment, the waitress asked us if we had ordered bottles to be in that area. We explained that we hadn't, that we had ordered sangria, but that we had already spent almost €800 at the restaurant. The waitress's response left us completely shocked. She literally told us that “€800 in this restaurant is nothing,” implying that she was used to customers who spent much larger amounts. I want to clarify that the waitress had dark skin, solely as a descriptive reference in case the establishment's management wishes to identify her and review what happened. I mention this with all due respect and without any ulterior motive. It's one thing to have reserved areas and specific conditions for accessing them, and quite another to make a customer feel that their order "is worthless" and to address them in that manner. After being a regular customer, celebrating personal occasions like my birthday there, and frequently dining there, I expected at least polite and professional service. It's not about the money itself, but about the lack of respect and the inappropriate attitude with which we were spoken to. It's a shame that, after so many years of choosing this establishment and recommending it with confidence, a situation like this could completely change my perception of the place. A good experience can be completely ruined by a comment and an attitude like that. For our part, after what happened, we leave very disappointed and, frankly, we have no desire to repeat the experience.
