Native Glasgow

Four nights in April. Room was large and very comfortable. Beds were nice, room spotless. Great location. The front desk folks were great, engaging and made my stay fabulous.

Excellent service, spacious well equipped rooms, and very comfortable beds! Location is also close to the Queen St station, but very quiet and calm.

Hell stay, avoid! I am an author, professor, travel writer, and journalist (my writing is in the NYTimes, Al Jazeera, NPR, Huffington Post, etc.), and I was excited to review and share this property, but sadly I am having a truly hellacious time (black mold in the drinking water from the faucet for starters, omg, and a shower head that squirts water all over the entire bathroom including on the toilet and toilet paper, so bizarre!). The bathroom walls are also filthy. When I have more time, I will update this review with all the disappointing details, but for now I would say avoid this place at all costs. I would echo the 1 star review below about black mold, serious cleanliness and maintenance issues, and management issues -- more to come (including photos) when I have rested, because the guests next door are causing so much noise constantly coming and going with slamming doors (more than 15 times in an hour) that I can't focus (wedding party all night then woken up by 5 am champagne bottles popping, total hell). I had to print important travel documents yesterday, but they had no ink in the printer! And the night staff on duty is always hostile and unhelpful -- not good. I booked Native Glasgow thinking it was a hotel, but I think it's actually a hostel with horrible facilities maintainence, cleanliness issues, and poor management. More to come...

We had a really lovely stay at Native Glasgow! The hotel is thoughtfully designed, the rooms are very comfortable and stylish with lots of amenities, such as the kitchen, mini-fridge, washing machine, etc. The location is also ideal and central - very easy base for walking around the city and taking the train/bus. There’s tons of shopping and restaurants in the immediate area as well, and easy to get there directly from the airport - the airport to central bus line even stops 5 mins away. It was really comfortable and will definitely plan to stay here again during our next trip. We also want to shout out Ian, who was very helpful and embodies amazing customer service and hospitality! He was so kind upon check-in, extremely friendly, and when there was an issue with our room he worked with us quickly to help solve it and made us feel super cared for. We really appreciated everything he did to go the extra mile!

I had a great experience here. Steps from the train station and even closer to the airport bus, the hotel is super convenient. Even better, it’s clean and spacious room was very comfortable and wuiet, even in the heart of the city!

When we are having family down to stay from Inverness, the only hotel we will put them up in now is Native. My mum loves the space the rooms here have. Even the studio rooms offer more space than most city centre hotels. The one and two bedroom apartments offer comfort that is home from home and usable kitchens if you are like my dad and cooks even when on a break. Highly recommend.

Our room was perfect for my husband, 19 year old son and I for one night. It was spacious, immaculate and well-thought out. The bathroom had space to dress in, giving privacy. There were outlets beside the dressing table, for hairdryer etc., which should br obvious, but sadly not always the case. There was a wee dishwasher, washer/dryer and even tablets to use in them. Iain on reception is a lovely guy, so helpful. It was fantastic value, we'll be back.
