I got a brilliant sleep in the pods. No windows is weird tho

Absolutely horrific hotel, could only stay one night before I left as I couldn’t stick the smell, would not recommend this hotel to anyone, their was an awful smell in the bedroom like something dead so could be mice, rats or anything dead in the floor boards. Complained to staff and they didn’t care and wouldn’t give a new room or any money back. Tried to say they fully booked but I went online and there was rooms available still. Not even any windows to open and get the smell away a bit. Absolutely disgusting letting guests stay in that room!

DO NOT STAY HERE, waste of money. I honestly don’t know how this place justifies its prices. We paid £215 for a Valentine’s stay and left shortly after arriving because it was that bad. From the moment we walked in, there was a horrible smell in the corridor, and it was even worse inside the room. The room itself was unbelievably small — nothing like the photos online. The pictures are completely misleading. They make the rooms look bright, spacious and modern, but in reality it felt cramped, unpleasant and nowhere near the standard being advertised. It genuinely feels like false advertising. What is shown online does not reflect what you actually get. I understand prices can increase around Valentine’s Day, but charging £215 for a room that’s usually around £40 a night is shocking considering the quality provided. I booked this as a special first Valentine’s for me and my partner, and instead it completely ruined our evening. We didn’t even feel comfortable staying the night. When trying to speak with the manager she was extremely rude and lied about what we had said in our complaint email. She was not helpful at all and she didn’t care at all that we had wasted our money on this. Bad bad service. And that’s from the manager herself!! Very disappointed and would not recommend.

The beds are high, but after climbing into them they're comfortable, the staff member on reception was polite and helpful. The fire alarm went off at 7am and just after 9am. Not worth the £100 a night

The room and the bathroom appears clean, and you have a kettle and some amenities. The bed is comfortable. However, it smells like damp or mold. I had to sleep with a face mask 😷 I avoided taking a shower at night to keep the humidity levels down… I suppose it’s normal when you are in a room 2 levels underground. There are no windows. It’s pitch dark if you turn off the lights. Perhaps some indirect lighting or a little lamp would help. Anyway, for health concerns I would avoid. Specially if you have asthma. Perhaps in summer it’s better? The street of the hotel looks completely deserted. It’s a bit scary at night but it seems safe.

Wonderful staff, will book here again

Can honestly say I was very dubious about coming after reading reviews but how wrong they were. The rooms have everything you need and are very comfy. Ideally located for Liverpool 1 and more. Definitely be back

Really clean room, really friendly and helpful staff, clean bedding and towels, honestly you get a bit more than you pay for. It's not the Ritz, it's a cheap and cheerful pod, a double bed, a big enough bathroom, all you need, for a decent price in the centre of the city.

The hotel was absolutely awful the room was tiny and nothing like the photos the smell was unbearable like something dead I asked to change rooms but even the second room had the same disgusting odour the bed was extremely uncomfortable there was no window no cleaning and no air freshener the charger socket was far from the bed and there were no dim lights for sleeping when I politely asked for a dim light due to sensitivity and my eyes hurting the receptionist was rude and sarcastic she said one day you want to change the room and another day you have a sensitivity she completely ignored my condition and made me feel disrespected

Very mouldy smelling room, couldn’t move past that. Dusty air con, stained bed, shower blocked and making noises. Tea and coffee nice touch. You get what you paid for, the mould was bad though will pay more next time for somewhere else.
