Dalston Superstore

My group of friends and love Dalston for its fun, affordability, inclusive attitude. We were a group of 2 females and 2 males, one of my mates highly recommend this place and so when we joined the empty que we were cut off but a shorter blonde bouncer type. We asked if there was an entry fee, he said yes £10 and we thought that would be the end of it. He then informed us “this is a gay bar, if that’s your vibe” and I said we are down for whatever vibe as long as it’s fun. He then so graciously informed us that “it’s going to be a no and I can recommend you different bars” and I just looked at him blankly. I’m an event photographer, I frequent bars and clubs all the time and NEVER have I met management deny entry for sexuality. He could’ve lied saying we don’t fit the dress code or something actually reasonable, even a simple “there’s an imbalance inside, we are looking to get more queer people in” would’ve sufficed because I understand that the dating scene it’s complicated for queer people at times. But in big 2026 I’m absolutely appalled and would never work with such people. Genuinely, hope that minimum wage pays for your therapist because clear blonde shawty you’ve got a problem LOL.

Too many hets in a supposedly queer space. But I get it. It’s a business. I wanted to see more of my people.

The welfare officer was incredibly kind and helpful for my friend! Good prices and atmosphere too.

Paris and sateva were incredible. Can't recommend this place enough. Inclusive, fun and a great place to be.

Paracetamol and sativia were amazing

Amazing drag brunch Sativa Eva and Paracetomal were AMAZING

We went there for drag brunch on Saturday morning and had an absolutely fantastic lunch. Reservations are a must. The staff are incredibly sweet and helpful. The food is decent for the price, but the atmosphere and the show are definitely the highlights. The drag queens perform throughout the evening, and there are also fun games in between. I highly recommend it!

Unfortunately turning into a heaven 2.0 the way the security and the bouncers are so rude with a bitchy unnecessary attitude, treating guests as less than human. I work in customer service and I worked in nightlife and would never treat guests the way they treated me and my friends yesterday. As I have been an attendee of Dalston superstore for years I know this particular bouncer from yesterday is new so I don't understand the meanness, it was giving peaked in secondary school in the most embarrassing way possible, really taking out the friendly in a lgbt+ friendly venue. A shame cause once we entered the service indoors was miles better from the bartenders. As there are so few lgbt+ venues in London I hope Dalston Superstore shapes up and spreads kindness and love in the community, not hate.
