Dorothys Showbar Swansea

Went here yesterday and was lovely going in, bouncer was lovely along with the drag. However one blonde woman working the shift (8/8/26) completely spoiled it. I ordered a drink up at the bar and I couldn't hear her over the music, So I laughed and said to her "I can't hear you over the music", she then shouted, not just raised her voice so I could hear her but shouted across the bar. I let it go cause I knew the music was loud, then she threw my chance to me across the bar. I went outside and spoke to one of the girls also there and she also said the same woman was giving her attitude. I went back inside and down to the toilets when the same girl slammed open the door next to the toilets hitting me with it. No apology just a big sigh as if we were in her way and walked off. I went outside and she also did, I went up to her next to the bouncer and another girl working there and asked what her problem was. She then started swearing at me infront of the bouncer. I said to her you can't speak to me like this. The other girl who also had attitude off her then came over and also mentioned she was kicking off with her too. I explained the situation to the bouncer and other lady and the other lady said "I don't believe that" really not happy with the way we were spoken to. There was 6 of us and we were going to stay for a while but left straight after this and won't be returning. No issue with the bouncer but this blonde woman needs to do a lesson on how to speak to people going into the place she works. Absolutely disgusting it was.

Absolutely appalling service from the blonde-haired bar staff member. I handed her a token and, rather than simply explaining what it entitled me to, she shouted directly in my face. I’ve genuinely never experienced someone so needlessly rude behind a bar. No patience, no basic manners and completely unsuited to a customer-facing hospitality role. Management seriously needs to address the way she speaks to customers.

This place is amazing! Me and my friend really enjoyed it and loved the music and atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back! ☺️

We arrived after waiting in line in the rain. Once inside, my partner was unfairly denied service and wrongly accused of doing cocaine at the bar, simply because he wiped his nose after catching a cold. As a result, we left.

Amazing all inclusive venue. Needs a bit of work on the maintenance. Drag queens are fun and full of energy.

Really fun night out. All staff are really fun and energetic. Drinks were on the expensive side but is worth it for the experience. Only negative thing is the back portion of the building. Looks really not looked after. Damp everywhere and nearly flooded toilets. Other than that I love Dorothy’s. We will be back!

The manager is amazing, my favourite place to go every Wednesday and weekend!!
