The place was awful when I went. I went in through one door and came out through another. It smelled of urine, was very dark, and completely closed off. They refused to refund the entrance fee even though we weren't there for even 5 minutes because the smell was so unbearable.

Probably the most unsanitary place in Belo Horizonte. Entering there is like abandoning all hope at the door, like Dante before the gates of Hell. You cross the entrance (after paying an unbelievable R$20 for the privilege of damnation) and begin a descent through increasingly degraded circles of human existence. With each door opened (many doors, lol) a new level of torment is revealed: hostile reception, security guards pushing you like minor demons in charge of sorting souls, and a general atmosphere of urban purgatory steeped in sweat, chaos, and regret. It's worthwhile as a social experiment, almost anthropological. Maybe you'll like it, if you're interested in exploring the abysses of Belo Horizonte's nightlife without having to die first. Terrifying. That said, to be fair: the bathroom is surprisingly clean, perhaps the only vestige of redemption in this infernal circle.

It used to be better... some of the service was very good. We waited ages to get some soup.

I've been there a few times and it was good. But the last time I didn't like it, there was a woman who didn't sing, she shouted a lot. Another thing, there are no prices or menu, and when you ask for the bill, there's no way to check it. I think that's extremely wrong. The karaoke sound is great, it's very clear, but the rest leaves something to be desired. After the renovation, the place became very dark. The entrance is beautiful, but the outside is very sad.
