I deeply regret having to give this rating because the hotel and the staff are incredibly friendly, but there were some serious and damaging mistakes that cannot be overlooked. I made a reservation for 3 nights. Our airline canceled the flight due to a work stoppage and changed our flight. I contacted the hotel and sent them a WhatsApp message explaining the cancellation and that I needed to change one day of the reservation. They told me over the phone that it was no problem and that they would change my booking. I arrived at the hotel and no one told me anything. On the second-to-last day of my reservation, they didn't call and instead sent us messages in the middle of our excursion, telling us we had to leave the hotel. When I arrived at the hotel, they told me that no one had changed my reservation by phone and that I was breaking hotel rules by leaving my luggage in the room, even though I had paid for three nights and only two had passed. They wanted to leave us stranded with a three-year-old child, and I had to pay for another night to stay. There was an abuse of power, and they made us have a terrible time. I WOULD NEVER RETURN YOU CAN'T LEAVE A FAMILY OUT IN THE OPEN AIR AFTER THEY'VE ALREADY PAID FOR IT.

Generally speaking, the location and the surroundings of the hotel are great. However, we booked the room on their website, and the USD amount was shown as “tax included.” At the moment of payment, we were told that an additional 19% tax would be added because we were paying in CLP. In the end, we found a very small note at the bottom of the confirmation email explaining that if payment is made in CLP, an extra 19% tax applies. That is fine, but why does the website say “tax included”? Please do not confuse guests. Also, the young girl at the front desk did not explain things clearly and was not professional at all, even though we were communicating in Spanish. The hotel does not have an elevator, only stairs, so it is very inconvenient if you are very tired or injured. When entering the room, there were two huge ponchos placed right in front of the bed. It felt a bit strange for us, as they looked like they were staring at us while we were sleeping. and the bathroom is very small..... On the same day, we had dinner at the hotel and waited about 45 minutes for our two dishes. simply don’t understand why a fish dish would take that long. It was really upsetting after a long day trip. The one star for service is for the Colombian waiter, who was very nice and cheerful. In addition, the hotel's swimming pool requires passing through an outdoor corridor, which is not very practical due to the wind and rain might have. Considering its price, the overall service and facilities are really not match.

This hotel is pretty close to the town of Puerta Natales. Barely a mile to the outskirts. It was a nice hotel with upscale accommodations for this area. Ate dinner and breakfast here. The food was very good. Breakfast spread was all you can eat buffet and was a very good spread with lots of options. Hot showers. Water stations are plentiful. Pool house has a nice view. Enjoyed the hot tub. Supposedly you have to make an appt for the hot tub but no one was there when we happened to try it out. They do limit it to 30 min sessions.

Hotel Remota is one of those places you never forget. I've been to Puerto Natales three times for different reasons (sports, relaxation, and adventure), and the same thing always happens: I'm welcomed with genuine warmth, attentive service, and a human energy that shines through in every detail. I especially want to highlight Carmen Gloria, the manager, who is incredibly kind and always present, offering a service that combines professionalism with genuine heart. The same goes for the entire team: friendly, attentive, empathetic, and resourceful staff who make you feel cared for. The views are unparalleled, the rooms are truly inviting, and the food perfectly complements the southern experience. Furthermore, their private tour service is of the highest quality: it's clear they know the area, pay attention to timing and details, and aim for a premium experience. Remota is a world-class hotel, and the incredible thing is that it's only a 3-hour flight from Santiago. A place to return to again and again.

Very beautiful and interesting architecture Most staff was very friendly. Short/cheap uber ride to town or 30 minute walk.

Very nicely presented. Lots of wood and idiosyncratic design and floor levels. Sunday dinner is a buffet at $50,000 so you might wish to check out the town. We later realised that the buffet was a special for a crowd of National Geographic cruisers who were starting at this hotel. That meant that, in terms of food, all other customers were fair game- charge them 50.000 to eat in the hotel at a buffet which really was nothing special. One of the guests queuing for replacement meat ( it had run out) told us to avoid the chicken. We felt poorly treated. The town itself has quite a few coffee shops and restaurants but is not exactly enticing on a Sunday evening. So we went back to the hotel to face the buffet previously described. There was no menu online or in rooms so we did not have info to decide. (When we later returned to the hotel (3 days later) we discovered the small family bar over the road(La Escondida) does very good meals… but book early!) Hotel rooms have no fridge. No tv. No drawers. No chair. Lovely towels. All sockets are two thin pin. Safe too small to get a tablet in. Wooden box to sit on- no chairs. Shower is a an overhead rainforest which tilts in one direction so pours water out of the front third only.. No hand held shower. Useless for ladies who do not want to get their hair wet... Like my wife! Panel between bathroom and bedroom is glass so using the bathroom at night floods the bedroom with light. Negative Breakfast pretty basic. No normal milk, no plates. Lots of empty little containers labelled but nothing in them. I feel that the people who design and run hotels must never stay in the rooms. They just look at the design and patronising bits of furniture (hard wooden cubes for 70 year olds to sit on? Really?) and think- “Yep- that will win an award.” Unfortunately Google having issue uploading photos....

Rooms are OK. No WiFi in the rooms, but there is in the common areas. Restaurant has good food and good service. Not located near downtown.

My husband and I had the immense privilege of visiting this beautiful part of the continent in early January and enjoying not only the breathtaking scenery but also a welcoming, elegant, comfortable place with excellent service. The staff was attentive and eager to help. The facilities were very well maintained, and the views were simply stunning. Thank you to the reception, restaurant, and housekeeping staff for making our stay an unforgettable experience; their youth was no obstacle to the outstanding service they provided.

Beautifully designed hotel with some flaws. Stayed here before and after an Antarctica expedition. Staff is nice. The design is pretty cool. I’ve heard the spa is great but didn’t get the chance to use it. Breakfast and dinner buffet was seemingly the same every night we were there. No WiFi in rooms. No tv in rooms. Which fine, it’s called remota BUT no AC in rooms. The mirror in the bathroom is the only mirror in the room and it’s half done on the wall. The other half is glass. So if someone turns the light on at night, the light is lighting up the room. We could barely get our door to lock and unlock with the key provided. We’d leave our front door open with the window for some cross air before bed. Rooms seem half done to me. Like concrete and untreated wood half done, the price doesn’t add up to me. Biggest issue I had was the tub/shower. I actually slipped (caught myself but went home bruised) because the tub is so high. Don’t want to deter you, it was a great trip and the hotel was great for what we needed, but just wanted to provide more info.

Dream location. My friends stayed at the Not and the Best Western, and the Remota views (especially in the rooms on the side close to the front desk) were heavenly. The pool is luscious. The staff are impeccable.
