فندق هومبولت

Hotel Humboldt is the round tower hotel on the summit of El Ávila, the mountain between Caracas and the coast. It dates from the 1950s and is reached by the Warairarepano cable car from Caracas, so a stay here is about the views and the cool mountain air more than the city. It's a mainstream, gay-friendly listing, not a gay venue. The 4.5 rating from about 900 Google reviews covers the hotel and the summit area. Cable-car hours set your arrival and departure times, so check them before booking. Venezuela has no legal recognition of same-sex couples, so keep things discreet in public.
