We had a wonderful stay at “The Barracks Inn”with my family. The place is beautiful, calm, and very relaxing. The ambience was excellent, and the customer service was outstanding—everyone was warm, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast was awesome, and the room was very clean, comfortable, and nicely maintained. Honestly, we are already missing the place. If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet, and stress-free getaway with family, this is a perfect choice. Highly recommend!

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing a few weddings at The Barracks Inn, but experiencing my own stay there was truly unforgettable. The service is absolutely wonderful, and the inn itself is so beautifully designed , it’s the perfect combination of charm and luxury. I stayed in the Royal Suite, and it was nothing short of magical. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the bathroom was stunning, and the tub was a dream! Every detail of my stay was thoughtfully considered, making it such a relaxing and enjoyable experience. As a photographer, I also love capturing my couples who get married at The Old Mill and celebrate at The Barracks Inn. It’s a picturesque setting with a level of service and quality that consistently impresses. Whether you’re staying as a guest or celebrating a wedding here, The Barracks Inn is an exceptional choice!

The Barracks Inn is a beautiful hidden gem !! My husband and I were looking for a romantic getaway and loved the immediate ambiance of The Barracks Inn. From the moment we entered the Inn we were greeted with pleasure that we had picked this spot, followed by opening the door to our prepared suite that was vintage but with all the modern conveniences, to Chris the General Manager making us a fresh coffee ☕️ on our way out just because he knew we were wanting one. It’s quiet and very peaceful amongst all the vintage furnishings that tastefully decorate the Inn. We will definitely return !! David and Nancy

Our entire experience with this little gem of an Inn was fantastic. Great communication and they accommodated an early check-in for my wife’s 60th birthday. The room was extremely clean and well appointed in the stone Inn is really beautiful. We will definitely be staying here again in the future.

This is one of the nicest hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Elegant touches thru out the hotel make it a pleasure to stay in. Our room is a king, with gorgeous furniture, triple tall windows, and a large floor plan. A lovely lounge on the second floor including fireplace and an outdoor patio where you can enjoy a glass of wine and a book from the library, or relax to the soft jazz. The front hotel staff were a delight, thoroughly attentive and thoughtful in their suggestions and help with an early breakfast before our flight. Looking forward to returning.

Booked the barracks inn in 2021 when we were choosing the Ancaster mill for our wedding venue. We booked the masons suite and it was incredible. We decided to go with Ancaster mill, the wedding coordinator sent a meat/cheese platter as well as Presecco to our room. November 28th we finally had the food taste testing at Ancaster mill and we had booked a block for our wedding, we stopped by the Inn to check it out again and see if we could see the royal suite we booked for our wedding. The staff was incredible again and took us for a tour of the building rooms, we were running behind and they offered to let us come back after our dinner which ended up running later than expected. Great establishment and I couldn’t be happier with the hotel we chose for our wedding They have been nothing but helpful for our block and the amount of times I’ve contracted them asking questions EDIT JANUARY 26/26 We celebrated our second year anniversary today. Second year in a row we have done Ancaster mill brunch then checked in early at barracks inn without special request. This place is great. We will be happy to continue our tradition with the barracks inn My wife and I have now stayed here 5+ times, we have stayed in all the suites.

Date of Stay Dec 25, 2026 We spent Christmas Day 2025 at The Barracks Inn in Ancaster, and it was an absolutely lovely experience from start to finish. The hotel itself is a beautifully restored historic building, full of character with its exposed brick and heritage details that make the stay feel special and unique. Our 2nd‑floor suite was spacious and thoughtfully laid out, featuring a comfortable king bed, a cozy sitting area, a convenient kitchenette, and even a private balcony. It struck the perfect balance between modern comfort and historic charm. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and we slept wonderfully. The bathroom was another highlight—large, well designed, and fitted with elegant fixtures, including a luxurious rainfall shower that felt like a treat. Breakfast the next morning was served in a bright, inviting dining area. The buffet offered a great selection: fresh croissants, eggs, sausages, oatmeal, and more. It was a relaxing and delicious way to start the day. What truly made our stay memorable was the kindness and flexibility of the staff. Everyone we interacted with was warm, welcoming, and genuinely accommodating. They even allowed us to use the dining room in the evening so we could enjoy our Christmas dinner—a thoughtful gesture that made the holiday feel even more special. Free on‑site parking was another appreciated convenience, especially during a holiday stay. The Barracks Inn is a wonderful blend of history, comfort, and hospitality. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ancaster or looking for a charming boutique hotel experience.

What a hidden gem, in plain sight on the Main Street of Ancaster. The inn is full of charm and elegance. Our room was so beautifully appointed and comfortable and cozy. We walked to dinner at the nearby Mill. It was a wonderful haven to blissfully spend a night.
